good runs man. I'd expect a fast would even things up as they are right now. I could easily see a solid 25 from a 92/92 most cars pick up that with your mods

In time i'll do the FAST intake with a better tune for sure! As for the comment about getting a better tune before doing the nitrous...well the car came with nitrous, so all I needed to do was buy a LNC-2000 to retard the timing. So basically I had a nice $1300 system staring me in the face every day just waiting to be sprayed lol. Besides, just to be clear, the tune I have now is not bad per se, but just very rich!! With that said I have no concerns hitting it with a 100 shot for now. I know i'm leaving some hp on the table, but it makes more sense to wait until I can do a FAST intake then do a better tune re-tune at that point IMO. Plus maybe i'll bump the shot a little at that point too

I mean a better tune and FAST may get me another 20-30 hp at best if i'm lucky I would imagine, and that Cobra is a good 500 rwhp and slightly lighter than stock. Who knows though lol...
I have a prc 5.3's with a custom cam thats pretty much the same as your tq2 and I have a fast 90. The fast only gained me 10hp over my ls6 intake so that didn't help much at all. I will say that I have had different experiences with my car that most have not encountered.

Oh really? Different how? Your 10 hp gain with the FAST is something I do worry about though...I mean if I spent $800-$1200 for 10 hp i'd be kind of pissed a little lol. I've only had to spend about $400 to get this nitrous system up and running the way that I want, and that's not too bad for a 100 hp...now that doesn't upset me at all lol

Yea there has been plenty of cases where the fast intake/tb didn't do much. Luckily i got it for cheap so I wasn't that upset but if i paid regular price I would be pissed.

By different I mean I have beat/ran with a lot of cars that guys in this section lose to with h/c/i ls1's

I just realized that i've seen a lot of your races actually! Your car does run very strong! Maybe a better tune would help me lol

I was going to post this earlier. Maybe you need to retune to take full advantage of your new mods? Its weird though several people talk about gaining 1-2mph in the 1/4 from the ram air without even tuning so... I dont even know. You could easily sell your LS6 intake for like $400 before shipping on here or ebay. Ive seen some fast 92's locally for 500 obo without a TB. So in the end you'll be spending like $300 or so? depending on the deal you get.

this right here^
i have the same heads as you and close to the same cam..mine is a 232/238..i do have afast 90/90 though, but i dont normally worry about ported blower cobras,as he put it:

I'm starting to really wonder about the whole tune thing now! I mean guys with very similar HCI combos as me (like mentioned above) seem to be doing better against these ported Cobra's. Trust me...when money permits i'm getting this thing tuned by a good reputable tuner. In fact there is a guy here in MI that is highly recommended for LS1's. When that happens i'll probably bump the nitrous up as well

Your car is a good example of real gains vs "internet gains" 10-15 is what I would expect if he added a fast intake.

Yeah i'm kind of thinking that too. The only way I can justify doing one is to wait until I get the car retuned. Even then i'm not sure, because there are a few more things on my priority list right now

Port/pulley cobras are usually right around 120mph cars. He doesnt even have a lower pulley so he's leaving a good amount of power and especially torque on the table.

It trapped 123. It doesn't have a lower but everyone seems to forget this isn't a stock geared heavy irs cobra.

Personally, I've never bought into the lower pulley's.

I have no plans on getting one. That's what the nitrous is for to make up for the maybe 10hp/20ft lbs that the stock lower is costing me.

Hay man...good to see you on here! I think the consensus is even if you do a 75 shot to my 100 i'm still tailing behind lol! We will see of course, but on paper it looks like it is very likely that you will gain great power with a small shot

Exactly

ported cobras with good drivers should trap higher then 120. It should be low 120s. Hell a pullied cobra should trap 120

123 is about average for the mods and I realize you don't have a run of the mill cobra. But my car has trapped more then that and it doesn't make very much power

I would think getting a good dyno tune aposed to the mail order I have now will be plenty to gain another 2mph or so. What does your car trap bay? Other than this race I've ran 2 other h/c ls cars with similar results, but none if them have been to the track yet, and once they do I'd like to know how far off they are compared to a perfectly setup one.

Only time will tell! How's your car hook up at lower speeds? I'd like to do some lower rolls if we could, I'll have to bolt up the slicks which will take away my gear advantage but all well.
