Hey guys,

Here is some super-close pulls with a 2013 GT500 against a Corvette Z06. It is a perfect example of light weight car vs more powerful car. It seems that from low-end Z06 and GT500 goes head to head, but once things starts moving, GT500 seems to pull up top(after 150mph).

-Here are the ruff mods/conditions of both cars:

+2013 Shelby GT500:
-Bolt-ons
-Full Weight (4300lbs w/driver+ passanger)

+C6 Z06:
-Bolt-ons
-510whp
-Weight Reduction (3075lbs w/driver)

Great runs and very even really. I think no passenger in GT500 would give more edge to GT500. I am surprised you said it pulled after 150.

Yep.

I believe with out the passenger gt500 would have the edge. Passenger was 225lbs. If the race continued, GT500 would pull up top. Still it was a very good race and I think its not worth the risk to do top end pulls.

It prolly would of just pulled until the gt500 hit 5th since the Z was out of gear in 4th at around 160, then I bet the pulling would flip flop

man those are sick cars, really shows you how much 1200pounds of difference can factor into things. I love c6z's, because of things like this they can just keep up with a car with 170 more hp is crazy. Good races!

Indeed was very good race. Z runs hard, that's what makes me want a vette. The pure weight advantage.
