Default Turbo 5.3 3rd gen vs built motor turbo prelude **VID**

This is more of a messing around vid than anything, but I was bored and had some extra footage so I threw it together. Couple fun runs with some local guys. I already posted the race vs the CBR 600RR, but figured I'd throw all the other races into this vid, even though they aren't very clean runs.

Anyways, the guy with the prelude was a friend of a friend that I met at a local hangout. We got to BSing a bit and he turned out to be real cool. On our way out, he asked if I wanted to line up for a few friendly runs. I'm always down, so we headed out. Didn't really have a game plan so the races are kind of just winged, but the car turned out to be pretty damn fast. With traction, I think it'd make for a great race against me.

No clue what his exact mods were, but it's a DOHC motor with a turbo on it.

Overall, it was drama free...the way it's supposed to be!

Good runs, I REALLY like your car. And that Prelude was obviously quite quick. I'm sure PSM will have something to say about the rider on the CBR

Thanks man. The rider of the CBR isn't too shabby. He told me after the runs that for some reason, he ALWAYS hits the limiter on his first race, but then never hits it on the rest lol.

That prelude had the wastegate dump pipe through the hood vent...I didn't even realize he was shooting flameballs over his hood in that first run until I watched the vid afterwards! It was a damn clean car in person though compared to 99% of them.

BTW, anyone know how to make it so the youtube vid plays right in the thread, rather than putting a link to click?

Same here, love your car and the route you took with it. That Prelude was quick, but damn if a FWD car isn't a handful to race with, lol. Good runs!

I'm honestly not 100% sure at the moment. It put down 563 rwhp/546 rwtq at this boost but with more aggressive timing and a bit leaner AFR. Judging by what it was picking up per degree of timing on the dyno, and by how much was taken out, I'm assuming I'm between 510 and 530 rwhp. But again, thats just a guess.

Thanks man! And yes, they are autometer cobalts. They've always been my favorite, with the phantom II's in a close 2nd lol.
