Starting to have an extreme respect for my car. So I'm on portage which is a main street in our town and this lancer is beside me we both hit it at 20 km/h and he starts to pull for the first half second ... I thought **** an evo i'm dead.. my car hooks and I practically shot a half car out ahead and pulled up to 120 km/h ... meets me at the next stop light .
Passenger: Nice car, whats done to it?
Me: Oh just an exhaust and tune really...oh and the rear tires but they are pretty much done.
Me: Evo?
Passenger : Yes.
Me: wtf look on face*
Passenger : *wtf look on face*
passenger: have a good night man.
me: You to
*both drive away*
Now me and my friend have talked many times about this and thought an evo 10 could pull my car. Could there be some other factor to why I won this especially so easily? I felt pretty big headed after that was unexpected.
My car is also pushing 158, 000 miles btw this is why I'm so confused.

a 10mph roll? The Evo X is a mid 13s at 101 or some **** like that.
If he gave up the dig... he fucked himself.
If it was an auto, if the driver sucked... and the fact he had a passenger... all could affect the outcome.
Seems it was a pretty short race from 10mph to 70 or so.
Either way, I'd expect in a stock vs stock race, for the trans am to win, especially from a roll.
Mileage means ****. I rolled over 136,666 few days back and as long as the engine is stout and well maintained, it'll still run just as hard as if it was 36k miles.

Odthetruth I've never done real research on them I just was always told they would walk me... But wow they aren't exactly as fast as I thought in the first place. Now that I know though I won't back down the next time one pulls up.

Get em from a roll and you shouldn't have much issues. The first version Xs trapped something like 100, 101. In 2011 they did some upgrade to the ECM I think, and they trapped 103ish. Either way, I would suspect the TA to win from a roll. A dig with the right driver in the Evo will be a different story and would give you a run for your money. They take well to bolt ons.

Oh one thing I forgot to mention Ive been stripping weight out of the car slowly so far I'm up to 70 lbs out my goal is 200 lol.

I got yanked by a lightly modded evo 10 from a 40... It had some kind of turbo upgrade, exhaust, and a tune. Pulled like 3 cars on me. I guess my car just runs like poop, or maybe it's the auto tranny being a turd from a 40? Even more disheartening now seeing that another hardly modded f-body was able to stomp one.

And nice kill, OP! Sounds like that EVO was stock or close to it. They aren't that quick from the factory.
