Seems like that 5.0 is a little off its game with bolt ons + nitrous and still getting yanked pretty good.

Nice videos.

IMO thats exactly how i expected it to go. Dont know enough about the 5.0. To take down a new stock viper, you will need a max effort bolt on 5.0 plus 100 shot to have a solid win. And by max effort i mean a car like Kdanner trapping 125-126 + 100 shot. The new vipers are absolute animals... love to have one. By far my favorite one to date.

well the base model Vipers are more like 560-570... which it looks like this one is... but they have some higher up models that make a bit more power and are lighter. Dodge finally made a viper that performs as well as it looks lol

Dodge did that a long time ago with the Gen I, II, III Vipers which were all faster than the competition during that time (Gen III up until '06 when the C6Z debuted). Of course the Gen 4's were nasty for sure, right along there with the ZR1 in terms of performance.

Edit: ios7 being stupid... Video works.

As mentioned it takes a lot to compete against the new Viper. Good video.

Agreed.
By performed as well as they look... i mean no current vette of its generation should be able to beat one. As in the c6 z06 always able to pull a good bit on a stock gen 4

You mean a C6Z will pull on a Gen 3. A Gen 4 Viper will demolish a C6 Z stock vs stock. The Z will need bolt-ons to keep up. ZR1 vs Gen 4 Viper is pretty much a driver's race.

The new Vipers are no longer associated with Dodge. If you research a bit you'll see that SRT has come out as an individual company(similar to Shelby American). Thus the reason the new viper's have tracion control, ferari inspired interior ETC. Why Dodge is pushing them is unknown to me or anyone else, when SRT actually produces them not dodge

You will need 130 traps at least and lots of aerodynamics. My V ran side to side with a bone stock 13 GTS viper. If you think a 125 trap car is going to take it down you are dreaming. At about 130-140 we were neck and neck, literally not an inch, but I know after 160ish he would pull due to aerodynamics.

I know 3 that made 540-550whp bone stock with less then 5300 miles on them. All three at different dyno's. which is around where every one is seeing. There is already one on dragtimes stock dyno and stock ET's. And a simple search shows if dynoing around 600whp its a BS dyno. Hell they are only rated at 640hp at crank. 40hp loss lets be real.

http://www.dragtimes.com/Dodge-Viper...lip-25402.html

Another link on viper forum showing 557whp.

+1 on this comment. I've seen a video of a bolt on Gen 4 walking away from a supercharged C6Z. Not to mention Gen 4's trapping the same as ZR1's.

Here is a stock Gen 4. With full exhaust they put down 590whp+- (DJ) and trap 132-134.
