2014 5.3 sierra vs 6.2 sierra vs 2014 f 150

I work mine as well. Usually well overloaded. I pulled 16000 (grossing 22000) multiple times......to many to count really. When I have my truck camper on the truck it weighs 11000, not including what I'm pulling behind it. Who knows how many cars it has pulled around.

So did my 2006 ram 3500, 6.4 powerstroke and 7.3 stroker also my 2003 chevy 1500.
You sound like a ******* idiot when you say Ram and GM owners don't use there trucks to work.
More then half of hotshot rigs and welders use cummins powered rams in Tx.
Nobody likes being in the shop or broke down on the side of the road with a pos powerstroke.
Is it because SO MANY drivers DESIRE to be in the shop? Get a clue.
And yeah a 5yr 100k warranty is better than any Ford warranty.
So... If it REALLY matters... GREAT! Ford's done this for at least a decade... NEXT!

Lol maybe to It'llrun But us folks that work trucks know that they couldn't pull a load without popping the heads or turbo going out or egr the list goes on. Even if the truck had a warranty you would go broke with the truck being in the shop all the time not making you any money.
Really...lol....Same with 2v 4.6 and 5.4 trucks....lmao Those things work hard to move the truck empty. I still don't understand how Ford stayed in business making that kinda crap.
I guess people bought into the best selling vehicle thing and just kept buying it.....kinda like the best selling car the camry. What a horrible car. Driving one is like driving a refrigerator.

The Camry is bland, but it isn't popular because it sucks.
Yes they were! The 3v probably saved the F-series, considering its predecessor. W/O that change, I'm convinced Ford would've sunk in the pickup department. The 5.4L went from 260hp to over 300.. torque didn't change much. The 4.6 went from nearly incapable to able.

So are the rest... Trucks today are so loaded with electronics, they're too much a concern for me to buy used if I'm working it. Worse, the market is so crazy right now, you'll pay too close to "new" price for a used one anyway, so I'm not bothering.

I'll stay out of this conversation with my spark plug spitting, 2V turd of a truck.
Still don't know why I bought it to haul family stuff and my car trailer.
Yes this post is jaded, persnickety and full of sarcasm

haha because consumer buying trends means anything, all you do show someone something shiny on tv and they all go buy it.
a lot of people bought enron stocks and we all know how that worked out for them.
a lot of people buy mcdonalds and we know how that is for you, to sum up just because its the most bought product doesnt mean its the best

If you had a decent clue, you'd still be lost.
Those of us who've been around here awhile aren't surprised that you don't understand things... The 4.6L in pickups was no fun in 2v form, to be sure. That said, the 5.4L made 360+ lb-ft of torque... That can move plenty. It outworked GM and Dodge engines its size for a very long time. Still, anyone pulling a load regularly would prefer the diesel and all three make a pretty good one, regardless of early problems along the way. Everyone remembers the 6L problems for Ford, but hardly anyone remembers the early D-max, which we commonly called "Duracrack," "Durajunk," "Durablast," etc. because it popped gaskets like crazy and that ultimately led GM to lower the compression ratio considerably. Now it does fine, thanks to that and several other changes. Nothing's perfect.

My 2500hd 6.0 has thrashed every 5.4 it's had in it's site......and it don't break a sweet doin it. 2v or 3v ......hell I give them a 1000lb weight advantage because they were 1/2 tons.
