test drove a new 5.3 all terrain today. very nice truck.

compared to the numbers this engine puts out, i was very impressed with it's performance. the low end torque is immensely improved over the old anemic 5.3.

my brother bought one, the pcm cripples them so bad it's retarded...even if you only tuned the torque management and shift points they would be a rocket compared to stock

the interior is amazing on his

Come on Big........your gonna have the ford guys crying that magics 5.0 truck has something up after these vids.

Is it me or did it look like when the dodge hit 3rd it fell on it's face?

Yes. It's a gearing issue. The dodge has tall
Gears and once it hits 3rd it just quits.

Man! i think we found the stagged missing clip from the show street race out laws in Okc. I'm impressed that a tuned cam 5.3 with lt headers and stall can beat a 6.2 with 8 miles on it lol!

Glad to see they've improved the 5.3. We had a '12 Sierra with the 5.3 and it was pretty bad. Now we've got a '12 6.2 Denali AWD, and it's way better. Especially off the line. Thanks AWD!

The 5spds suck in the 2011s. I have a 2012 with the 6spd auto 3.92s. And mine does not fall on its face like that.

very lucky. i'm surprised the 5.3 handled it like that, considering the 5.0 trucks run with 135+ mph cars with nothing more than a tornado and fuel line magnets.

you can tell the new 5.3 is quite neutered from factory. they are getting some unreal gains out of them with just a tune.
