Props for running the car and actually posting up numbers! Half of the guys who talk the most **** on this section won't do the same.
You may not be 100% happy with them, but it is a new setup and I'm sure you'll get all of the bugs sorted out soon. You have all winter to anyway

Thanks everyone, the car is 60' very well, how would you say a 7.50 1/8 mile @94 sound with a 1.77 60'.
Ive said from day one, these heads are going to hold me back. Ill get some vids uploaded, but its leaving hard and then falling on its face up top. COupled with 4th gear rejections constantly its getting irritating. Everyone is posting a million videos to facebook but that does me no good here lol.
I raced Blakern here on tech, it a turbo/stalled auto T/a. He was running 11.2`s@127. We raced and went door to door 1/8 mile then started pulling away hard top of third. Im happy with the 1/8th mile but its dead the rest, but still picked up 27mph on the big end. wtf?

Have you had the car on the dyno to see what the curve is looking like? If youre having a problem... its going to show on the dyno. What are the specs to the motor... part for part?
Cam, heads, intake, weight?

yea i wouldnt do that. Just read your sig Cwarta. I think the problem is your entire top end. Vic JR is a ton of problems on an NA car unless you have a way of measuring flow. Has it been worked at all? If you are spinning that motor under 7k... throw that thing in the trash. Your heads are definately a bottle neck as well but you can still go faster with them. My money is on the intake/cam combo.

Its an Lq9 bored .065 block, callies dragonslayer 4" stroke crank, eagle 4340 H beams, manley platinum series pistons, cam is a 243/255 .634/.624 on a 110+3. I had Ed Curtis spec the cam for these exact heads and this intake/TB setup. I have a hard time believing its cam and intake problem. The car is making power down low and leaving hard, but its not carrying it out. Exactly the opposite we should see with it if its an intake problem since its a short runer intake.

The blue gto went 12.01@116, and I pull away hard for the 1/8 and then not so much. Hes sending me over the incar vid.

Thats a heavy car... a reving setup IMO isnt right for it. My buddies 403ci ss is just under 3700lb race weight and he has old *** stock AFR 225 heads(dont flow **** in comparison to late model heads), a vengeance fast 102/102 and a 248/254 cam. It makes power till about 6800 and made 560whp. Just went 10.6 at 130.7 this weekend. I still say... of the 3 major parts of the top end... the intake and cam are the problem. Mainly the intake

Oh and watching and listening to your videos of racing on the street. It doesnt sound like its nosing over at high rpm... it sounds like its ******* pretty hard coming back into the next gear. And reading your time slip... Its not really MPHing in the 8th that well either. If you ask me... The gains from the 8th to the 1/4, mph wise, are a lot better then your 8th mph
If you plan on reving the car 7500+. You want 4.56s+
If you plan on keeping the revs below 7k... leave the 3.90s.
You have to commit to a setup. Have to set the CAR up.... not just the motor

93mph in the 8th... you car is actually picking up strong in the back half. Its the 8th mile that is suffering.
Edit... just watched that last video. Sounds like the motor is working right for its setup... but it doesnt match the car.

Idk what to think, it seams to run good but not mph like it should. I don't see how it needs more gear when its leaving hard, not bogging the **** out of it and not really bogging on the shifts. I think it needs heads, yes. But I don't believe this is the only problem.
This Turbo trans am went 11.2@127 on this run. We had almost identicle 60' R/T etc but 1/8 was close and then he just takes off afte rthe 1/8
