Play it cool all you want, but price matters to a mass majority of consumers and that's why these cars get compared in the first place. What people fail to compare is the cars as a whole, not just strictly Horsepower for an MSRP which is frankly idiotic.
Also, do you not want the super snake conversion on your GT500? Do you not want a Ford GT? Hell, I want a Ford GT
I'm not one to tell people what to do with their own hard earned money, nor am I one to poo-poo people's passions. The GT500 is one hell of a machine, but if the only deciding factor on any vehicle purchase is *want*, then a GT500 wouldn't even make my top 10 list I don't think. To each their own and props to you if this is honestly true.
I'm interested to see how the IRS will work in the 2015 models, and if it will be in all models or not. Also, I'm sure the carbon ceramic brakes will be an option on the SVT cars, honestly, I'm surprised it isn't already (Z/28 has them).

You act like the ZL1 is leaps and bounds faster than the Shelby on a road course... which it is not. I'm sure you have seen the comparison chart out there. I'm not going to buy a car simply because one puts up better numbers on a road course(which I myself will never mess with). I just bought the one I WANTED(no, not a baller.. talking price range).

The ZL is leaps and bounds better on a road course. To the tune of 3+seconds at VIR. That's HUGE.....especially when it's down on power. If they had the same level of acceleration you would probably be looking at 5+seconds. You can watch the in car vids and see the huge difference in the way each car reacts.

The cool part is you can choose which beast you want. Drag racing is much more popular.......mostly because it's cheaper and requires less skill. Most will probably never see the limits of either car doing either sport.

Hio was suppose to have the car weeks ago. Might have to get this one first. With frame connectors,convertable chassis stiffening kit,x braces blah blah this cracks on 28 by 10 slicks...
