Well no wonder you only took 1 hour putting it on a 2V.

The install on your new car is way more time consuming.

PS. They work way better now, and I never use a laptop on mine. Counting blinks is good enough for this cat.

I agree. That would be the only way to do it right. When they stop subsidizing the **** out e85 you'll see a price jump too. From what I understand the ethanol content can very by a significant margin.
Yeah. Have you seen the demo videos of the ProEFI setup? He had a Supra setup with an ethanol % gauge in the car... pretty neat video..

Here it is:

I am not messing with it install wise... letting my shop do it. The guy(Paul) is pretty thorough when he does stuff... he actually takes the ECU harness off, pulls the pins out of the connector, solders the wire to it, and puts the pin back in the connector. Looks factory.. pretty clean looking.

Future build plans will include the ProEfi setup.. has a very nice traction control setup too. That, built motor, 6r80 tranny, 88mm turbo... should make a nice ride.

I only did my own install because my builder wanted $600 to do it.

You can't see my install unless you knew what to look for.

Ya living in Canadia will do that. I get the preferred client rate with my dude but it is still almost double the Southern cost for labor.

I'd let him do it for $350 too. lol.

Huh? I still don't understand your argument. All of a sudden it's drastically harder to install on a gt500?

IIRC, it was 3 years ago. Solder a wire in at the ignition at the harness under the hood. Solder in clutch signal switch (under dash, yes uncomfortable), I believe solder at the PCM which is harder to get to because it's buried under the passenger side kick panel, and then a ground.

Regardless, my argument was, it's an easy install, people aren't all installing them wrong if a lot of people have issues with it during a burnout.

That's cool, I'm sure it'll look good! Good luck

Go and read the destructions for 2010 and newer compared to what you had to do. Then if that doesn't convince you, install one on a newer rustang.

Until you do any of these things it is pointless to continue this.

PS. Do you really think that Poppacapp's builder charges out $350/hr and mine is $600/hr?

Well, the labor rate at my shop is $75/hr... so they figure a little over 4 hrs or so. If it takes less time, they will charge me less.

Exactly. It's not possible to do this job in 1 hour on newer cars.

It takes time to hook one of these units up and make the install look good.

The ford guys on here know how ford guys are.....they try to avoid them unknowingly. The problem is they're still ford guys and don't realize most are like the ford guys on the ford forums.

I am a car guy mang. Not Ford guy. I would just as easily be on here with a C6Z posting if it had not been for the fact that I needed 4 seats for my DD.

Please continue to talk out the side of your *** and give "GM" guys a bad name, since we're gonna do the labeling thing, verjinya.

One thing i have to say, Is having owned both Chevy and Fords... Chevy guys absolutely hate on Ford WAYY more then the other way around.

Like when I went up to the track a few weeks back. My buddies 403ci 560whp SS was running 11.1 at 128. My other buddies 306ci NA fox was running 10.7 at 123-124 with 412whp (Both cars trap 100-102 in the 8th). Both stick cars.

The fox owner said that the 403ci car is FAST and just needs to work on his 330'. Later on in the day. A video gets posted of the fox and in qoutes says "Not bad for an NA Ford". And the funny part is the person who posted that is a die hard 1/4 mile guy. Just hates Fords.

I couldnt but laugh because the fox was running just under a half second faster with A LOT less power. And he actually complimented how fast the 403ci was, just wasnt fully getting it to the ground. Yet, he gets discredited for it being a Ford. However... if that were a stock cube ls1 car running that... he would have been swinging from the bowtie nuts about it.

Funny part about that Fox, is its actually a grudge car on the street. He has torched a lot of 9 second cars on the street with his "10.7" car. The car literally duplicates the 60's from the track on the street (1.48-1.52). While those 9 second cars...turn into low 11 second cars.

I will still always have a place for GM. I like both brands... i love the rivalry.. I love how they use each other to continue to build badass cars. I will own another GM in my life. Hell i still want a Fox and a 4th gen f body. But I really dont like GMs styling as of lately... that is my ONE turn off from them. I like the slight changes made to the fifth gen for 2014... Im hoping the C7 will eventually change back to the classic 4 round tail lights. I look forward to seeing the C7 Z06 as well. I dont really care for when the ZR1 comes out. Ill always be an NA guy... it will always be my curse . Which is why I will always favor the Z06 to the ZR1 and I will always favor the Boss to the GT500.

Who gives a **** what brand it is? It could be a fast Kia or Hyundai, for all that it matters.
This whole bashing on brands is retarded when its taken seriously. Yeah, it's fun to tease each other, but the all-out bash fest is ridiculous.

Even fast 4-cylinders, as annoying as they sound, are still impressive.
