I have a ls3 416 in my garage with fast 102 ported heads and a pat g eps cam waiting for install , im doing a stage four trans build and a rxt w aluminum flywheel first
but we both plan to spray, he is a crazy guy but his 5.0 will be a killer

That was stock intake. I raced the Z with a boss intake. At the track I ran 11.89 @ 117.60. But I was getting locked out of 2nd above 6800 (shifted at 7800rpm other gears) and couldn't shift as fast. A clutch alone should be good for high 118, low 119. But, obviously I can't be 100% sure.

its all about where you race them , 40 roll in second is the c5z sweet spot
the 5.0 have a 1 to 1 fourth gear which is their strongest from my racing research , they do really well from a 60 roll in fourth with the 373 gears
he usually stops my pull in that gear

Absolutely! You are in MA right? Do you think your clutch will be in before snow flys?
You beat a cammed c5z? was it the one with the blower cam? Either your car runs real strong from a roll or that guy sucked at driving.
A H/C/I traps low to mid 120's? That's funny because I trapped 119mph easing off the line at 2000rpm (street tires). Only got 3 passes that day. Probably would have went faster with a bit more practice

Yup about 20 mins south of Boston. So not far from you at all. An yah, his was the c5z with the blower cam. He seemed like a good driver...
I'm hoping lol. The car went back to the dealer because 2nd gear **** the bed. It's there now, I should have it back Friday with a brand new trans
Soon as I get it back, I'm taking the trans out, putting in my McLeod RST, lightened steel flywheel, and going to open up the (brand new) trans and put in bronze shift fork pads.
So depending on when the pads come in, I'm "hoping" by next weekend I'll have it all back together. Shouldn't take to long.
Btw, good mph man. Car definitely moves man. Definitely like to get some friendly runs in with you.
