Camaro and mustang have always been competitors, GM guys just can't except in todays day and age

Mustang > Camaro

Just like from 93-02 the Mustang was lacking in every place but sales , just like today but Vice versa....

I had to state the obvious this time since you took it so "literal" last time

Because it's a superior overall platform, in a completely different class than the Camaro/Mustang/Challenger. I'm not saying that some cross-shopping isn't done between the two classes, but if somebody really wants a "sports car," they aren't gonna look at anything else.

Mod motors can be made fast n/a. But its cheaper to throw a blower on them. Guys are going mid 10s now with n/a 5.0. But its taken a lot of testing. And a lot thought out builds. And few are doing it at 129-133mph. Couple are still 3400lb race weight like kdanner who just went 10.5@129.

But as said easier to throw boost on it. Revolution just went bottom 9s on a stock coyote engine with a turbo.

Staying n/a I would rather have an ls platform though. Cause you can do bigger stroker setups. I am still on fence of going fi or staying n/a. Right now still leaning n/a build. Ls3 stroker setup and doing bigger cam.

1LE vs 5.0 Coyote is very comparable performance wise. I would take the 1LE for sure.

Back in 96-97 a well driven Cobra could take out a LT1 Fbody

I have access to a stock Cobra to prove it. Very hard car to drive since its undergeared. You must shift right at the limiter to get a decent mph

SS Lt1 offers no straight line improvement over a z28. Only people that go apeshit on this is Artic since that is what he drives

you have to take those cobras like 3-400 rpm past redline to make them do anything.

and the ss lt1 did have a hp advantage over the base model.

If they weren't close, they couldn't drive.

I dunno. just not impressed with the cobras. my buddies 96 with gears, dr's, aluminum flywheel, etc had a hard time hitting 98 mph.
