v6 camaro V.S mustang GT
hay people before I had my Z28 I had a 2000 pewter v6 camaro. anyways one day when school was over I went to get some food. that’s when I saw this one guy at my school he has a 96, stang and he was saying how slow v6 camaros are. anyways I meet with him on the expressway and from the light. he lights his tires then as the light turns green I get great traction and he is to my door. after 25 miles an hour he is one car length back. I just keep pulling and he could not catch up. i beet him by a car an a half when we stopped at 80 miles an hour. the next day at school he came up to me and said "how big of a shot of nitrous did you use".

Pound for pound, I bet the 3.8L F-body's could be quicker than 4.6L GT's. My Grand Prix GTP definetly is faster than an automatic 4.6L GT (that's been verified many times over). Anyway, knowing that, i'd wouldn't be surprised if the 3.8L F-bodies are faster. They can really move for a V6.

[QUOTE=00GTBlown]Because you beat him you think all 96 GT's are slower than Camaro V6's stock for stock ... .
Anyways, that guy deserved what he got for talking stupid.[/QUO
stock 4.6 gt's are what 240 hp and all i had little mods.
i still had less hp.
"so many mustangs so..... little time.

For example, a 2004 GT 4.6 auto ran a 14.09 1/4 mile straight from the factory with driver Evan Smith of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine (very credible source). I doubt that a stock Grand Prix GTP auto is stronger than a 99+ GT auto. A race could go either way depending on the circumstances and who's driving.
The autos they put in our GTs leave much to be desired, so I would think a stock 96-98 GT auto and a Camaro V6 manual could go either way.
And 8YURSVT, stock 1996 GTs have 215 hp, so you might have about the same or more hp. The 1999 and above GTs have 260 hp.

96 gt 215 hp @ 4400rpms, 285 lb/ft @ 3500 rpms with 3077 curb weight
oo camaro v6 200 hp @ 5200rpms, 225 lb/ft @ 4200 rpms with 3306 curb weight
96-98 weren't very good years for the Ford Mustang. They changed the motor, were working on a new body style through out the 3 years (eventually ending up with what debuted in late 99). still makes more power, sounds a hell of alot better than a v6. honestly dude, i think it was probably just a bad driver behind the wheel of that stang. I wouldn't say too much to 00gtblown he'd blow the doors off that v6.
right now you are making yourself out to be no better than the dousch bag in the Gt you spoke about in the initial post. btw its not an excuse its a known fact that the ford auto is a peice of ****...

Btw, 8YURSVT, you're screen name and the **** you says makes you sound like a mentally retarded goat, and I highly doubt you will get any support from the people in this forum if you keep it up.
I believe that you beat an older GT with your little 6 cylinder, but this doesn't really mean anything to any of us ... this does not make you some sort of big dog, and definately gives you no right to talk **** about stangs, period.
There are plenty of stang guys here with there "little" 4.6L's that would love to walk all over your almighty 6 cylinder or your newfound Z28.

My friend ran 14.7@94mph in his '98 while stock. Don't get me wrong, that's damn slow, but still more than quick enough to take down a lowly piece of **** V-6 F-Body. Those cars are total trash. Any GT driver that loses to a bolt-on V-6 from a dig should just be shot in the face in humiliation.
Lol, I seriously want to slap you for calling a '96-'98 mod motor a "mighty ford v-8"... try "anermic ford v-8". Why don't you take that Z-28 of yours and go race an '04 Cobra?
That's exactly what I'm saying. Stock Mustangs are slow as *****, but so are LS1s. 13s, in my opinion, are not quick at all... but they sure are a great place to start from

How about this ...
after you graduate from middle school (you spelled pretty much EVERYTHING wrong) ... you can fly up to NY/NJ (your choice) ... enisguy and I will meet up with you ... then you can attempt to "slap" either of our families .... later on after you regain conscieness and fix your newly broken kneecaps, you can take your pick racing either of our cars in one of your badass rides ....
