Hey guys i was just wondering what's faster. Cuz my friend has a 89 GTA, with headers to catback mods and he wants to race that ****** in the LT1 who wants to **** my car up. The guy in the LT1 is stock M6. Tell me what you think.

Even it's an L98, there's no chance it'll take the LT1... through the quarter. Tell your friend to definitely go from a dig. If he can drive, the L98's crazy low-end torque will take the LT1 off the line and be even with it through the eighth. Tell him to definitely go from a dig, and hope for the best. His chances aren't very good.

Yeah, I agree with ***** head on this one... LT1's are strong runners.

the LT1 does NOT **** around. even in stock form. tell the 89 gta to pick up a 100 shot and wax that ***.

Cuz like i've seen that LT1 guy race and he cant race for ****! I put like 6 cars on him, he's got no mods at all expect for 500lbs of stereo equipment. Do you think my friend stands a chance from a dig at least? He's got a few mods.

For sure he'll take him through the 1/8th. His GTA might even run a high 13 if it's in great running condition with those mods. The only way to find out is to race him.

I'm going to go with the LT1 cause everyone else seems confident in it. Tell your friend to check out that vortec manifold conversion from SDPC. I've heard good numbers from other tpi's with that manifold on them and they don't cost all that much for the increase you get.

Of course you'd put like 6 cars on him, you've got an LS1 with afull exhaust and he's got a 4000-lb stock LT1.

I still don't think your buddy has enough, but race him and find out. Anything could happen.
