cam ls1 vs gt500 super snake!?!?! What up yall! First real post but at mid summer me an the wife were out going to grab some ice cream an pull into the local DQ an there was a dark blue with white stripes gt500 parked.. didn't think nothing besides it a bad *** looking ride an told my wife they are real fast an would probley smoke me lol. Well anyway we order an pull around an there was 2 guys standing by the car looking at mine so I paid pulled up an gave it a lil rev an then I hear one yell nice car an giggle like a school girl.. so I leave an he pulls out an starts to fallow but hangs back a ways so I'm watching an as soon as we get out of town bag!!! Ricer fly by lol I'm doing 55 an he's doing a 100 past! Lol so I drop a few gears an catch up an my luck someone was turning left in front of him so we slow down to almost a stop an he is going about 30 mph so I get next to him an he honks it off an I'm in 2nd gear an right off the 3rd honk he gets about a half car on me from the hit an I'm thinking he's gone but then I start pulling an hard on him.. ever gear I hit I'm just pulling an I let off at 130 mpg cuz someone in the passenger is yelling lol.. but when I let off I easily had 4 or more car on him cuz I could see him clearly in my rear veiw mirror.. needless to say I let off an he kept going! I always thought a super snake would kill me but made me rethink the abilities of my car lol..
My power adders are : fully bolt on, 228/234-112 cam ls7 clutch, Moser 12 bolt with a 411.. an mustang dyno tune 396/363 an the wheels!

From what I can decipher, it definitely wasn't a Super Snake that you raced. Sounds like a stock pre-'10 regular GT500, but still a good kill. Welcome to the site

Something is def off here. I had almost the exact same set up as you in my TA and it pulled hard..but still narrowly beat my STOCK 5.0. Either its wasnt a gt500 or this dude REALLY needs a driver mod. Nothing against your car, I miss my cammed ls1.

I'm with the others. Your car is surely respectable and got the kill, but a real GT500 makes more power stock than yours does with its current mods and from a decent roll, would surely "roll" you up. At very least, you should've lost by a little, drivers being equal.
