What a beauty!!

12.3@117MPH at my local shitty 1/4 mile track (2500-3000 DA)is not bad considering it was built for a road course.

I thought that was a good run considering the conditions and just being a mag time. there's much more in the car.

^Agree. Car wasn't meant to be a straight line car so it's going to be funny seeing people draw those comparisons. Like saying apples make for shitty orange juice. On the road course though this is one hell of a potent car.

Yeah wtf is the deal with the valves dropping? Seems like if you fart the wrong way the heads retaliate cruelly.

They say the valve issue is fixed. Also, it has been blown out of proportion; not that I risked it on my heads Also, think about how these heads were constructed, and what actual use they received: TI intake valves and 2 piece hollow stem exhaust valves, truly exotic for a street car that does see traffic, and heat cycles these valves and guides would not be recommended for. Also, when you hear what experts have to say on it, a lot of the issues are due to oiling b/c of such tight tolerances due to the need to keep any oil out of the combustion chamber for EPA regs. In a motor there are 2 ways to cool heat 1) oil system 2) cooling system. If an exhaust valve has no way to be cooled, something bad is liable to happen.

Regardless that its still heavy and stupid expensive for what it is, I like it. Glad the general put it out there.

After all the hype and extreme measures taken by GM the BOSS still puts the power down better. Sorry GM was leading me to think the BOSS should NOT do a SINGLE thing better than this car, and for that price tag that should be the case...

While I agree it has been blown out of proportion and I, myself, am guilty for blowing it out of proportion, I would still be pretty pissed if an engine that costs as much as an LS7 does to replace blew up due to a manufacturer defect.

it's easy to hook up a feminine powerband.

however that being said, in testing the z/28 absolutely destroyed the boss 302. they aren't even comparable.
