Eff that. Selling mine was a good decision.
I don't even know, it's some weird mix of which is the better motor and if the coyote will equal or surpass the LS in popularity. All I've gathered is 4.slow is a ******* idiot and the ford guys semi butthurt that people think the 5.0 won't be as popular as a swap option as the LS is.

I ended up buying a new mustang and a blower for less than a used camaro ss cost. So to say you can make more power for less with an ls3 is not entirely true when the car it comes in costs way more than its ford counter part. I will say since I own cars with both motor I prefer the lsx because it is easier and cheaper for me to work on and tune myself. I think both are good motors. The coyote makes more power with less displacement than my ls1 did with same mods.

In case haven't paid attention the 8.8 isn't exacly bullet proof in a heavy car that makes power

Yes. 6 feet 7 inches.
Update on the 95 years front: we were out driving last night, tuning until about midnight and noticed the A/F ratios were effed up and inconsistent, opened the hood and discovered a vacuum leak from a cracked line. Easy fix.
Then a few mins later, a coolant line (that somehow didn't have a hose clamp on it) spit coolant out, so we had to limp the bitch back to the house and fix it. We're riiiiiiight there! I'm so ******' anxious to drive this thing I can't even stand it. At least we're very close, anyway.

Indeed, cam swap plus any or every other mod under the sun except for heads or a power adder. It's the losest term anyone can come up with. Too bad the dude said just a cam change, as in he was trying to make it sound like a cam alone is going to make that kind of power. Why I said he makes a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to LSx anything. But just like the LS3, the 5.0 can make over 500whp "cam only" also. They're both awesome production engines, it's just that some people try to beat one down just because the other may be a little better in certain ways. They're ignorance is annoying.

I Think it was actually because a 5.0 owner said it was superior than an LS3. Hence the back and forth comparison.

I think we're getting at the new 5.0 can make 500whp+ cam only as well. No head work needed. I don't know exactly what flow numbers are for the heads, but they gotta be up there for stock heads to be able to create such power.

All the tests I have seen from cammed coyotes show them in the 440-450 whp range with full bolt ons. The only coyote posted here that has even made over 500 had heads and cams.
A coyote will not make and has not made over 500 with "just cams" and bolt ons. Another lie.
Comp cams themselves only got 434 whp with stage 2 cams, full exhaust, tune, cai.
