Will say this ford showed signs of catching up in the 2000 to 2010. GM dropped the ball on the 5th gen they should have known ford was planing a well built light mustang and then the 5th gen came out and was over weight. Bad mistake on their part however bc of this now Ford is finally in the lead they want to stay there, the new gen mustang is still up in the air about it being lighter or heavier (depending on who you listen to i.e. hammer or the many articles on the mustang itself) and its for sure getting a bhp bump though. The gen 6 camaro is also still up in the air its supposed to be lighter and still some speculation on the engine they are gonna use. However i can't see GM dropping the ball twice in a row. But they will due what ever they wanna do to ultimately make a profit and keep its loyal fans happy!

Lol yup it can go both ways though either way both companies have good and bad qualities to their iconic cars they produce.

And Ford has com a long way from the 90s more so then GM imo

ford did really good with the 5.0 to catch up to everyone else. and they had a lot of catching up to do. they were pathetic from 93-2010.

we'll get a better Camaro because of it. so that's awesome.

Lotus engineered the engine in GM's car.

SVT (Ford) engineered the engines in Ford's car.

The two examples are not similar.

Wow... GM did not engineer or build the LT5. You do know Ford ships already produced Mustangs to Shelby and all they do is modify the already produced vehicles right? Comparison fail.

Ford has no sales competition for the Mustang internally. Until Chevy offers a crazy base engine in the Corvette and the Camaro drops a significant amount of weight, it will see Rustang tail lights.

What makes me an elitist *****? Pointing out YOUR incorrect spelling after you ranted about the same thing is just me keeping you focused. Asking the ford guys what they expect on a GM biased forum was a legit question. I like both brands equally well, I think ford did a great job with the coyote.

Ok. While I will admit that nobody is perfect, there are extremes here... His improper use of "here", and a clearly misplaced "g" are hardly the same thing. I do see your point however. When people bring up that this is a GM biased forum, that's cool as well. What isn't, is spreading false information, simply because of one's need to justify their preference. At least, that **** bothers me, though it might not you. I do apologize for lashing out though, cause it was uncalled for.

You always seem to forget that 03-04 the Cobra smashed the **** out of camaros, and theyre prolly still quicker stock / stock vs a 2010 camaro.

The only time when Ford completely sucked *** was from maybe 95-03

We all of course realize that the pathetic sales and build quality caused GM to axe the camaro. Its one of my favorite things to point out. Your beloved LS1 catfish caused Cheby to axe the WHOLE LINE! Its hilarious. Now continue to cry about the supercharger...it helps me prevent heatsoak.
