14 Track Pack vs 1LE
You guys are forgetting that A LOT of the improved track times on the 1LE comes courtesy of the substantially improved gear set. That said, even with the '12 and later suspension improvements, the standard SS is not on par with the Boss. Just being fair fellas.
Not according to a single published result I have ever found and I noted that you couldn't find one either. Trust me, I know you tried... There aren't any because the GT simply does beat the SS without 1LE package, period. You can dream it whatever way you want, but reality laughs in your face.

On another note, the idea that the SS beats the GT, when test after test has proven the exact opposite... hardly worth the argument. Just ask for proof and move along, knowing it will never arrive.

Let it go... He knows everything about racing... He invented it, I'm pretty sure...

Real life > forums I guess all the 5.0s he's beaten have been a fluke?
I have videos of bolt on NA hondas (full interior) Hanging with bolt on boss 302s. Nothing is end all be all like the internet sack riders claim.
Just like how i was told 4v was a good match up if not faster than my old f-body and that was proven wrong twice, with cars that were more modded and better setup than my car.
One of them was stock and it showed because it got the bus 2nd 5.0 had catback and tune and still got a decent train ran on it.

Not equal drivers. Camaro seemed to be lost, no knowledge of course, wasn't hitting apexes correctly. Mustang driver was listening to instructor, and seemed to have a decent knowledge of it, by being on the correct sides during slight sweeping crest turns, etc. He definitely out drove the Camaro driver, no question.
But car vs car... I still think the 1LE will outperform the 14 Track Pack.

It's so pathetically different that I would tell anyone looking for a new Camaro SS ro be certain to "pay the fine" for the 1LE and get a far better car. I wouldn't even consider the SS w/o 1LE.
Even Super Chevy, the only magazine I saw test the 2012, managed .88g's on the skidpad and somehow, only 45.5(as I remember) mph on the (obviously super short) slalom... c'mon... you think that's enough?
The bottom line remains: You cannot find a stock 2012-14 non 1LE SS that beats the same yr Mustang GT... In fact, it's fairly evident that, aside from 1/4 mile times, even the 2010 Mustang GT beats the SS... handling makes a difference and that's why GM brought out the 1LE. The ZL1 was purely to compete against the GT500 and it does quite well, but the 1LE does far better against the lesser Model Mustangs and the standard SS is last.

They had essentially the same suspension set up as the new 5bros, also had a track pack option of sorts. That, coupled with a lighter car by ~100 or so made it quite a handler. Especially compared to the earlier SS cars. Like I said though, straight line, while the 3v wasn't a slug, it'd get it's **** pushed in by the SS.
It certainly wouldn't win in a straight line! Did you know that the 2010 Camaro V6 handled better than the V8 on the skid pad? As I recall, it even stopped shorter and all was attributed to less weight(and balance up front, no doubt).
