WS6 vs Mach 1

Sweet vette! So it is attainable, awesome! Any 450+ or is 450 the max someone with cam/bolt on's LS6 got. Maybe Hio should be a little more descriptive. He stated "cam only LS6 should make 450+". Stated correctly cam/bolt-on LS6. Another thing, how it "should" make this power. Even after someone stated the LS6 should do that "easy" on that vette site, the builder came to disagree & said it was not "easy".

My train of thought tells me that one should be serious about making power before they go inside the engine with at or near full bolt-ons. But there are plenty that just want that cool cammed sound and you can tell by their underperforming mess that is all they are interested in.

I can see that.....the cts-v's have those 80lb clutches and super heavy wheel tire combo soaking some up.
By the quick glimpse of the graph it was still goin up at a pretty good rate.......most are skeered to turn these engines for some reason. A ls6 should be good to 7400-7600 with the appropriate cam/springs/intake.
W/o being on the same dyno it's hard to say. Most want to go by dynojet numbers. My dynojet numbers would be 431hp/405tq. My 417hp/395 numbers were made on a dyno dynamics, they are known to be conservative. Before the 1.8 rockers it made 413 on the same dyno.....which is exactly what vetteboy's record ls6 car made. He also dyno's on a dyno dynamics but not the one I am on. They are both full bolt-ons. Like I said if you are serious about making some hp out of them they will do it. Most would rather talk about their cam though.
Briansformula has also been over 400 with his bolt-on ls6.
Good find.....neither of those cars had a fast on it either. +15rwhp for a ported fast on them easily.

A grand am cup cam and gmpp 243 heads will let you turn 7400-7600. Did that to a buddy's ws6.
It's a none issue. Look around on here at all the graphs that stop short or level and they stop turning them. Turn that bitch till it falls off. One problem with turning alot of rpm is the intakes that are available for ls engines. I would love to try a lsx r/t intake if it would fit.....I bet it would free up some rpm and power.

I've turned mine 7000 for years.......thinking of bumping the limiter to 7200. It smacks the limiter like no body's business.

Just cause it fits under the hood line don't mean it's gold. I bought dietcokes old ls7 fast when he went to another intake and he picked up some pretty major power. A gmpp carb style intake will make more than a fast.

This is my buddies 2003 mach 1 and my 2001 ws6 on the dyno same day. Both cars are manuals, have similar mods intake and cat back. Neither one of them are tuned. The mach 1 could never get me and it pissed my buddy of because that's one reason he got the car. He pre ordered it and all I heard was how I had no chance once he got it. Lets just say he was disappointed ,haha This thread gave me a good laugh.

Considering it would probably drop 50 or so pounds from the nose and make an additional ~30 hp/tq, yeah. I'd say mid-high 12s all else the same.

I know plenty dickwad. And NA LSX have been looking at my rear plate since I bought this car. In fact I actually back up my mouth unlike your scared bitch *** with no info. I got runs set up in two weeks with guys off this very site.

I can't hear/read "dickwad". Without picturing Arnold saying it lol. Makes me chuckle erry time.
