Default Regal vs Supercharged 392 Challenger

I was out cleaning up my 21psi tune and saw/heard a Challenger (neverthechamp) driving ahead of me toward my testing grounds... mint.

I got next to him, just me and him and open road. But he wasn't having it.
So I signaled with the only thing on my car that you can hear, my BOV.
This seemed to intrigue him.

He rolled his window down a bit more, downshifted and pointed at me to go.
I don't normally take charity, especially against what I though was a stockish 392. So I just rolled into it a bit in 2nd.

Lucky for me it hooked up (going downhill helps) because as soon as I rolled into it I heard it...

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I was like oh **** we got a race now!
Well, that's what I thought.

I sorta shattered his life by a quite a few car lengths.

I took it to ~140 and he was back a solid 4-5 cars.
Woulda been hilarious to talk to him after but he just kept in it after I shut off and I never caught back up

I might stalk the challenger (neverthechamp) forums to see if he confesses anything publicly.

sounds like he did well to stay within 4-5 car lengths of you from a roll where you hooked! It's truly so random to come across modded cars on the street: I always want to talk to the guys afterwards but rarely does it work out that way.

^that

At only 500ish hp, at cruises and track days, I'm the slow one in the group.
But casual cruising it's not common I'm worried I'm going to get spanked.

And before you say come to my hood bla bla ferrari, lambo.....I live in a very nice area.
The viper on my sub wont race me. The ferrari never fkn.drives it, etc.

So I run into stockish vettes, stangs, challengers etc cruising the hood

Yeah for a second there I was expecting him to come around me.
At this point there's no telling how fast his car actually is.
I can say though, my car seems to have picked up quite a bit going from 17 to 21.

The rear main is a colossal pita.
With that said... I intend to make a pass before the deadline.

Good run, Juice! That Regal is nasty.

I knew they had blowers for them already but I thought tuning was the issue. I was always under the impression that Chrysler locked the computer down and made it difficult to tune. Is this still true?

The fact that this guy paid $8000 just for a blower kit (likely double on bolts ons + install/tune) and got walked by my stock motor 3.8 wrong wheel drive ebay pipe handicap transport vehicle just made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

They run low 12s at my strip even with a 2.8KB.

Good *** kicking Ju1ce.
Imo, a supercharged 392 Challenger would be a sweetass d.d. or just a cool cruising around car, even if they're not at all that quick. They're still pretty nice nontheless.

My local tuner has built a 1200+hp stroker SRT Challenger with a Pro-Charger so yes, they can be built and tuned. Not 100% sure on the whole setup, but it wasn't cheap for basically a dyno queen.
