You might want to try something with a bigger than stock turbo... Then report back to me on how bad you 'drug' it . Ill see you next summer and we can settle this for real. Turns out my uncle only lives about 30 minutes from you. I want to see how bad you can drag this little 231ci motor...

I don't know why they don't leave it "turned up" all the time......apparently they like it "turned up" or they wouldn't talk about it. Same way with spray and someone always ****** with their shot just so ya don't know what they're runnin till they spill the guts outta that ****.
I had spray on my v8 Monza once......I needed to refill the bottle about erry 4 miles. Now that's turnin a mother ****** up. ******* in here ain't seen **** turned up till you use a whole bottle of nitrous just to go get groceries....lmao

It's because if you drive the car on the street alot, you don't want to run around in kill mode 24/7. No need for the extra wear and tear on the car. But if you have a good race planned... put on kill. But I do agree with you about someone racing another car and getting beat, then saying "I was only running 15psi... imagine if I turned it up to 22!" I hate that too.
Of course my situation was a little different... I ran 18psi regardless.. didn't change.
If I was racing someone that was planned, I put 100+ Unleaded in the car... not to gain more power because I know it didn't really gain anything, but as an extra precaution against detonation from back to back pulls. If I had a turbo... then yeah.. race fuel and max boost would be setup for a pre-planned race. Better to short-shift and sandbag, than to not bring enough to the table just in case.

That's why when the 2.9 goes on it's gonna be on kill from when I drive it around, when I load it up on the trailer and take it to the track, when it idles in the driveway..... Always on kill

Nothing is being turned up. Just taking a page out of "Hio's Tips for Success." Car will only be SLIGHTLY lighter, but the drivetrain will be a whole lot more efficient... I am finally replacing the rusty as hell driveshaft and getting a much more efficient converter...

That's the way it is imo.......but that's called integrity
Not really.....fuel change required.

Grand National/Regal T's are cool cars with great collector value (probably the best from any 1980's car aside from the '89 T-T/A) with performance stats respectable for their era. However, they have been a bit blown out of porpotion by many. People seem to think they're 12-second cars from the factory. In reality, they were bottom 14-second cars @ 98-100mph traps. The rarer GN-X averaged in the mid to high 13's, but only 500 cars built. It takes a bit more than a "chip" to get one of those up to par with most of today's performance vehicles.
With that said, I would love to have a '87 T-type with the "WE4" package sitting in my driveway someday.
