Other than that get some DR's and take off your front swaybar and you will have a bear of a time launching :p. It's fun!!!
My car launches hard and is lowered about 2" all the way around.

No offense meant, but GTs should have come lowered...They look like monster trucks! Hehe..of course we say the same about Zs all the time. They all look soooo much better lowered.

you sig says over 400rwhp, i hope you out run them by bus lengeths. i was making a point that i can out run a untuned 331 that murders gts, the beginnning of this thread was talking about a gt running with a ws6. just trying to make things add up

stock for stock, roll or a dig an ls1 will destroy a mustang gt. even if you had exaust and intake and some other bolt ons. i have done it, and have seen it done numerous times. it takes more than an exaust for a gt to run with an ls1, at least from what i have seen

So you guys still don't agree with me that this guy should have had this GT by more then a car if he drove correctly?

Also the AVG Ive seen from stock LS1s is more like 13.3~13.6... Maybe everyone is a great driver where you race...but not everywhere. My friends' A4 LS1 cars got it hard from roll ons everytime I went at them. Of course I forget that only LS1 cars respond to mods... LT1s and GTs cant ever surpass the all mightly ls1. Ha
Seems to be alot of conflicting emotions here. Go read my original post, I think you are all confused. And give up with your attempts at "ego busting," I know exactly what an LT1/GT is capable of .... I have raced tons of them ... and have owned an LT1. I don't make **** up ... and I could honestly careless what you "think".

Btw ... The track where I goto is at dead sea-level with decent track prep, so 13.0-13.3 for a stock LS1 is actually a pretty normal occurance here ... A kid who I can't stand drove his 98 M6 Z28 to a 12.89 1/4 with a lid, cutout and stock tires. Granted that was probably a perfect launch, in perfect weather, etc etc etc. .... Although now adays it is pretty impossible to find a stock LS1 anyways, so the real question is .... who cares?

I dont think I was replying back to you on this one... Just comments like it takes a lot for a GT to run a LS1 also means inclusively LT1 cars.. (since performance numbers are the same) Thats not true. Your right...who cares?

all i am going to say is that cast 00 you are at a great start and have alot of learning to do. these guys can tell you whatever they want but in the end it is up to you and how you drive. it is awesome that your bro has a fast car too. it makes it that much more fun. my best friend has has a 2000 t/a and only put down like 6 or 7 less hp than me but the best he could muster was a 13.7. he was in the same boat as you. just got his car in january and had never been to a track before. also what everyone keeps talking about it peak hp. peak hp doesnt mean sh#@ when you see an ls1's flat tq band. also my car made over 330hp from like 5200-6000. peak that. ......and one more thing if you supercharge your car and it only makes 350rwhp(which is peak b/c thats what superchargers do) dont compare it to a bolt on t/a b/c you are only making 350 rwhp for a second when cars like mine are making over 330 for a couple of seconds.

I think it depends on the driver/car....

I know of a lot of mustang as well as ls-1 drivers who can't drive for stuff, and I know of some mustangs and ls-1's that are turds from the factory.

So lets get over it.

Well I must agree that Mustangs are really good from the hole. Last time I raced a Mustang on the higway I buried the sorry sob... Next day at the track, we went at it in the 1/4. i believe it was an 02 GT with headers, intake, 4.10's, dr's and other bolt-ons. This dude was leaving my *** in the whole. Even though I still beat him, I had to play catch up... Getting him by a car or so...
