Not going to lie thought the 5th gen would win. But then again 98% of 5th gens run like ****.

M5's are strong, but that was just plain embarrassing for the 5th gen. I bet he was livid.

damn that's embarrassing. a stock 5th gen might have done better against that M5. A cam'd/bolton 5th gen should be able to walk it. supercharged should be able to demolish it. And boltons on the M5 don't do much for it powerwise.

you've lost your mind. a cammed LS3 makes more power and weighs less. you just haven't run into one that will trash you.

your car, on a hero stockish run, makes 420-435 rwhp. your tune 450ish rwhp. that's pretty good unless the LS3 has even a moderate cam and 475rwhp, or a HERO cam.

if you are full Bolton and tune you are neck and neck in power, but down on torque to a cammed LS3.

be proud of your m5, but dude...for what you paid ITS WEAK.

I wouldn't say that they have came down big time in the market. Pick one up now for under 30k easy. That V10 is a roll monster up top with the smg tranny. Its like they never run out of steam lol.

Sorry but that M5 stock runs the 1/4 mile in the 115-118mph range. Bolton LS3 cars run close to that, and cammed ones easily run that. Hell a stock 392 SRT8 would probably be door to door with you.

As for your mods? We both know you don't get much of anything from them as the car is tapped out from the factory.

Yeah... unless he bought the car new, those things are cheap nowadays considering you get a DCT and a revvin' V10. Had a chance to talk to a turbo V8 M5 owner at the track in November. He used to have the older V10 version before he traded it in on the new one. He said the V8 turbo is the better car, but he missed the "screaming V10" in his old one. It was decently fast around the track considering how heavy the car is, but he only took it out once - he was more occupied racing his Ariel Atom!

I wouldn't mind a v10 M5 they sound good to me. But man I still have my eye on the C63 amg since it's price is down to.

Man the GXP is a sweet car but guys wont so much for them since Pontiac went under. Did get to drive the 6spd version of the car gotta say I was impressed with it. To me the seat of the pants told me it was faster than my 5.0 was stock

Around the same speed with both good drivers stock for stock. But it is kind of stupid that there is a modified c63 amg in the city at the moment for 35 grand with 90000km on the thing. If a GXP comes to the city no matter the mileage the base price is around 34g For what you get out of the two cars the c63 is the obvious choice but hell since 2010 my screen saver on my pc is a GXP lmfao.

most of my friends and races are against american cars and i know what I'm talking about but the thing is not all v10's run the same i saw dammed v10's perform as fast as stock m5's the break in period for the engine is 5000 km thats just to show you how sensitive this engine is
