i can, but its a corvette one and don't wanna ruin it, im weird like that.

mine ran 13.3 my first run ever with the car, i was letting off for the shifts because my trans was acting funny and didn't wanna WOT shift, i was being stupid, im just glad i didn't hit a valve letting off and smashing back on, and he just bought the car on Sunday, after my first run i couldn't get traction, it was February 14th and i couldn't get them to prep it

yeah probably, im just tired of smelling like fuel every time i go somewhere LOL, who cares how it runs when ladies are always asking why you smell like fuel, but like i said i just bought a focus. so no tune till i sell some stuff off my parts car

my ls6 intake needs seals, and my motor needs ls6 cooling lines and block offs for the back, 100$ for those and the tune at most be like 350$

lets recap that i did give him the hit because of the passenger, i was trying to avoid excuses,
If you're smelling like gas then your car is off more than I even thought. No wonder you only beat him by a car and half.

lol. So you're judging it based on how it spins the tires on the street? Not like outside temp, rpm shift point, or asphalt type would have anything to do with it too.

Get it on the dyno and do a comparison. Those stock 96-98 MAF's are good until ~360rwhp. I pegged mine at 355. With stock cubes, cams, and 14.7 atmospheric pressure, the motor is not going to pull in more air in because someone increased the a small piece of a cylinder by 12% upstream.

Those MAF's are not a choke point on a stock motor. Now the intake on teh other hand....

like i said twice before it was an observation, not a point to get hung up on like it is, i also said the filter was changed at the same time, its a K and N system

Better get axles if you run slicks on that Cobra. I always found best et by shifting right before limiter. They are tough with stock gears to drive at track.

Yeah wouldn't be launching, just wanna roll then blast, not too worried i got 2 more axles in the truck, a shop, more spider gears, and ****it a whole 8.8 sitting in a GT ready to be put on some cylinder blocks if it needs to. (jk i wouldn't actually put it up on cylinder blocks it would be sitting on some 6 by 6's

or i think he mentioned something of a 31 spline set up

You need some mods...W/ all those miles and being pretty much stock and you still beat him he shouldn't have too much to say.

Change the oil to some castrol syntech. I've seen that help/eliminate lifter issues.

i have a pretty crappy oil pan leak, put the motor in 10weeks ago didnt know it was leaking because it sat in a wrecked car for months, but as for the lifter i already changed the oil and cleaned metal off the drain plug, not sure that is fixable, i think its just really "effed" i was debating on syntech but i dont wanna change oil brands at 205k and create a different problem

What oil are you useing?

It don't hurt to change brands. Millions of cars have their oil changed daily with different brands. Some brands are not as good as others tho.

This. And fix your oil leak and have your car tuned.

Good luck

going to be checking it out today and tomorrow to find exactly where leak is coming from, car has not been on a lift yet, not even since i put the motor in, on the ground. had a Humv stuck on the lift
tune will come after i put my ls6 intake on. have a guy buying my interior out my wrecked car. that is my tuning money

By bolt-on you probably mean lid and catback on a 2:73 geared camaro.

The HITMAN effect, runs worse with mods! Tell him, hammer!

When the outcome isn't how you dreamed it would be, something is always "off"

Headers, lid, catback, UD pulley, tune for the EL LESS WON
Headers, UD pulleys, gears, shifter, CAI, tune for the 4.6

I'm sorry you guys really give the LS1 more credit than it deserves. It's a good engine, not groundbreaking. I like them, though. The owners are why I could never be a "GM guy". Too many cavemen for me.

If the Cobra had something along the lines of a 4.30 or 4.56 it would have been a different turn out... But who cares. Win is a win.
