Default Turbo Integra vs FP Black EvoX

40 Hit, EVO is around ~500whp stock bottom end from what they told me. Runs pretty good

Only run I've gotten this year. And the only one I'll get due to this lol:

Already spent enough money this year, and no point in re-welding so it can crack again. Poop

Good run. I am always impressed with how well your car runs.

On a side note, why would that have cracked to begin with? It is a defective part or is heat and stress in that area the cause of that problem?

Just the weight of the wastegate unsupported and heat cycling. It had hairline cracked in the past and I had a buddy weld it. Its very common for these manifolds to crack there. Surprised it lasted this long lol. Next one will have some sort of bracing.

That makes sense and I was thinking along those lines. Maybe next time, you could add some kind of support bracket to reduce the stress especially since that area probably goes through a good amount of thermal expansion/contraction.

Good run. That pic you posted is one of the reasons why I am trying this twin scroll log manifold. Seems if you don't have some custom bracing for a tubular manifold they are on a timeline before they crank in some fashion. My turbo turd is a street car so it has to hold up to these ever worsening streets. No recession here....

I will probably end up throwing this car back N/A for the next year or so while I save up for all the stuff I am going to need to upgrade to road race this car (safety stuff, cage, seats, oil cooler, better cooling everywhere etc). I really wanna get some more seat time but it would most definitely catch on fire after a lap of ragging on it in its current condition and its no fun ***** footing around.
