Default 408 stroker vs 2013 5.0

Ok guys I have a few questions here. I don't think this is the right place for this and if it isn't I'm sorry. Please try to give non biased opinions. My work partner seems to think that his now stock 2013 5.0 mustang would beat my set up when he gets bolt ons. He's talking about adding cams exhaust and tune. Even with cams exhaust and tune would he run me down? My set up is a 408 ls stroker. 606 flywheel horsepower 575tq in a 3200# 86 cutlass with a th350 trans 3500 stall 3.73 gears with qa1 upper and lower control arms.
Given this information there shouldn't be any chance right? He is going to need forced induction? How much boost would he then need to take me? Thank you for all input

Driver and traction aside he doesn't stand a chance

Even if he had full bolt ons there wouldn't be a chance right? It would have to take forced induction? How much boost do you think he'd have to be running?

Now that the sarcasm is out of the way how much boost would he have to be running to make it a good race?

There's just no way you should lose this. Figure you're probably around 500 rwhp (give or take a few) in a 3200 lb car, and he's more like 450 rwhp in a 3600 lb car. Unless we are missing something here it sounds like an easy win IMO. Now if he throws some boost at it then it's probably game over I'm sure, but if I had to guess he'd need at least 4 or 5 psi to make it interesting

That's what I'm getting at. Even if he had full bolt ons and everything there still wouldn't be any chance right? He would HAVE to have some sort of forced induction?

Absolutely. I can't remember but have you ran your car at the track or had it on a dyno?

I've had it on a dyno. Engine dyno not chassis. It made 606 575 he said it'll pick up another 20-30 once everything seals up

I'm finally getting the dyno sheet today too. I'll post another thread with pictures of everything later

Picking up 20-30 hp sounds right to me. Back when I got my TMS 370 I'd run my buddy's ported 03 Cobra and he'd routinely pull a solid car on me. After a few thousand miles it was basically even and nothing else changed

I would say any blower on 6-8psi and he will dust you. No sarcasm this time.

That's what we were saying. How many cars would I get pulled with 6-8psi? Even from a dig with no break boosting I'd still be pulled?

After he does FBO make sure you go 3/4 throttle and stay next to him. See if you can get him to money shift that MT82 from 3-4 if it is a stick.

He's talking about doing a turbo setup but I don't think he's going to. Would he only have to buy the turbo and slap it on and it's done? Or would he have to upgrade everything else along with it?

No doubt you got this as long as you do go up in smoke on the launch.
