Default NMCA Announces New Factory Super Cars Class

Cobra Jet, COPO and Drag Pak to compete in heads up Pro Stock style drag racing at all 6 NMCA events for the first time in history.

The 2016 NMCA season kicks off March 10-13, 2016 at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, FL with the 14th Annual Ross Racing Pistons NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem event.

Great time to be a gear head.

Wow! Like the late 60's all over again.

I never thought I would see this again since the auto industry in the US was looking pretty bad at one point. I have say that FIAT is doing a great job with allowing Chrysler/Dodge to do their thing unlike Daimler.

IMO, the Dodge Drag Pak looks the meanest/most aggressive compared to the Cobra Jet and COPO.

I was reading up on these three, and the COPO Camaro offers 6-8 different motor configurations. Pretty cool stuff.

There is an NA doge drag pak at my track. Cool car, sounds mean runs 11s. Doesn't even use the hitters lane (11.5 and faster). lol

I'm trying to figure out why the COPO Camaros come with small cubic inch supercharged motors or a big inch NA motor but you can't get a big inch supercharged motor for the COPO? Some type of class rule maybe?

Class rules for sure. Even this new event has rules on weight and blowers and **** to try and keep it competitive.

Ah, I see.

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be too fair for the competition if the COPO came with a 4.0l supercharged 427....

I think they already put a 4L blower on a 5.3. 427 would probably want a larger one.
