Default 16SS stock vs 12 GT CAI, tune, PTB, shorty headers, cat back

What's it going to take to get a win ?

Second vid I've seen where a modded 5.0 can't beat a stock SS.

Also runs a pulley, CAI, tune zl1. Once it gets traction the SS was toast. As expected IMO.

A stock ZL1 would have eventually come around the SS. How long it would have taken... IDK. A pulley'd/tuned ZL1 should destroy a stock SS depending whether upper or lower and sizes... Obviously the ZL1 burned up the launch. I'm not anti sex gen just pro ZL1.

The 2012 didn't even really have any mods that added much power, and even the meager power added by the CAI and TB were likely offset by the shitty Bama toon.

Bama toon slowed it down for sure.

At the bottom he said it was also running a pulley. Upper/ lower/size it didn't say.

Zl1 and GT both had mods. It's all in the description.

GT was probably slower than stock. SS got lucky. Just like the other vid where an SS handled a bolt on 5.0. Mods probably slowed it down.

The Bama toon is definitely a good way to go backwards. The correlation being lack of driver ability and Bama toons is pretty high as well. It's just statistics, really.

Yeah I got it lol. Poopstang mods=crap/
pulley = ZL1.

I'm just saying that a pulley'd ZL1 should have been much worse if he had gotten traction. A stock ZL1 will eventually go around the SS...

All it showed was the 5.0 spinning then the camera moved and video stopped before we could see if it pulled back... That's really what GM nut huggers are so pumped about?

Everyone knows the 6th gen is faster stock for stock but this video still proves nothing lol

A car length for a car that weighs about the same but makes 43 more hp from the factory is pretty naughty indeed.

5.0 hayday was 11-14, def year diff time now...all ford needs to do is up the cubic inches, keep the same 4v heads and its done. Say a 5.8 351c.i that could easily make 500 hp/450 trq...easy

How do you figure that? The 4v heads don't flow as much as lt heads yet you're planing on making similar or more power with a smaller engine.

Agreed! Even a 5.2 or 5.4 CI would give a nice bump in power.
