Yep. My old boss bought 2 brand ******* new 2012 bimmers (yes back in 2012) and neither of them made it over a year. She went back to driving her old one, which then crapped out on her too. Back when I worked at a service shop in San Diego I used to get German cars all the time. I specifically remember an Audi and a BMW. Both were leaking fluids like a sieve and neither had over 30k miles. Drove the BMW down the street after I worked on it and it drove like ****. Same issues with VW and Mini Cooper. You couldn't pay me to own any German car that isn't a Mercedes. I've had way too many 1st hand experiences that ended negatively.

Why tell me to ask, then say it all in the same post? haha

I've seen more positive than negative experiences. Every car has it's problems. Should I tell you that you are stupid for buying a Camaro because I've first-hand seen them go to ****? Funny part is yours doesn't even run. Don't be a *****.

You're crazy man, LS1s fbodies don't consume oil, have a toothpick rear, junk 4l60, terrible stock hydraulic t56, cracked dashes, cracked door panels, or anything of that matter.

Move along now.

Now that you mention it... I've been amazingly lucky with my scrap heap. 206k in it now and haven't had many issues.

I was just being an *******. I'm more than willing to admit flaws with any vehicle, especially ones I own. Like the random cigarette lighter in the middle of the dash on the S197. Wtf, Ford?

This is true. Just more torque than most of the guys who ever called them feminine out of the box

I would definitely change the stock ride height and exhaust. That **** was far too quiet stock. Still is even just headers and ORX.

Really? I always thought mustangs typically had the loudest exhausts out of the Big 3 pony/muscle cars. Not stock but once you do exhaust work, I always thought they were much louder than if you were to do equal exhaust work on a Chevy or Dodge pony/muscle car.

I still have the heavy stock axleback. It keeps things rather quiet.

I think that mustangs sound best to me. I've heard some awesome sounding fox body and new edge mustangs.

New edges to sound aggressive with exhaust. 3V's can be pretty damn loud.

2v/4v has the best sound, IMO. I love the Coyote scream though; but mother of God these cars get OBNOXIOUS with some exhaust work.

I changed the stock clutch out at 112k, trans I rebuilt at 175k and rear end I just rebuilt at 195k. Outside of that its been just maintenance really.

Mine stock was rediculously quiet. First mod was ordered exhaust, then wheels/tires
