Yeah, I took it easy and stayed in the 8.2-.3 range. Left off idle and rolled into the shifts to try to keep from spinning. I thought they would be closer than that. Only the one was in the 8s. The rest were an embarrassment to the 5.0 community. Friday before last, I was trying the launch control. No buenos. I was an embarrassment the the GM camp. lol

You are right. I wonder how he would run here. There are 5.0s here with similar mods that either need driver mods, have something wrong, or just slow. IDK what their problem is. Even the 2010-12(IDK what mods or year) GT 500 was only running 8.8. The fastest 5.0 was running 8.8-.9. Something has to be wrong.

No. Mine is slow too. Maybe they just don't have the right set up or drive worse than I do. Like I said, something isn't right. There are definitely faster cars that were running. They just weren't 5.0s.

My local 1/8th track DA varies.. Last Thursday when I went to do some datalogs, I only managed 7.9s @ 92mph in 2200ft DA. This past Saturday at the 1/4 mile track I was seeing 800-1000ft DA and went 7.7s @ 94. The car is still pulling timing so I have to get that sorted out. Running the timing it should be, I could probably shave another 1.5-2 tenths off.. maybe ankther mph or so.
I have no idea what power it makes..it has never been on a dyno. but race weight it around 3830ish. I have to reweigh with the drag pak...

I haven't seen any E85 around here but, then again I can't use it so I'm not really searching. But I'm pretty sure the guys here aren't running it. IDK if that would make that much of a difference.
I'm running street tires so I completely understand the spinning issues. That's why I have been easing it out of the hole and rolling into it on the shifts. Otherwise it just comes unglued. Without a tire, launch control and no-lift shifts aren't going to happen.

I am happy with it too. The only power mods on the car are the Flex tune with e85, and catback. Still running stock airbox and filter. It does a much better job at keeping the IATs lower in the staging lanes. I am OCD about keeping my IATs below 100 degrees.
Ill see how it does on 93 next trip out there.

Get you some drag radials on your car and I promise you will enjoy your car 100% more. If you daily drive it i. the rain etc., I would suggest the 555r radials.. not great for laumches but work just as good as street tires in the rain
