Default 2012 Hyundai Genesis vs 2010 SRT 8 300

Found one of my 14.6 runs my wife filmed. Was against a 2010 SRT 8 300. He had full exhaust, CAI, and tune.

Mine is Full exhaust and tune.
Genesis-14.6 @ 97
300- 14.4 @ 101

Edit: Sorry for the crying baby in the background lol

Really takes a hit up in that air... 300 SRT8s here pull off low 13s / high 12s bone stock at around 110mph. Nice run

I am curious to know what your car would run at sea level... I could see you holding up fairly well with your mods but I'm not well educated on the Genesis. I rarely see them so I haven't read much.

Yeah I'd love to see myself. It's really shocked me how much it's picked up from the tune and exhaust. The 5.0 version has 429hp. Thought about trolling some people and getting it

The 4.6 version is rated 379, but my 3.8 shows to be faster by .1 in the quarter. Might be my 8spd vs the 6spd

Makes good power... any idea what your weight is? The Lexus is350 is actually pretty quick down low due to gearing despite its numbers... Curious if that's what's happening or not.

Factory it weighed 3827 I think. Maybe in the low to mif 37xx, due to lighter exhaust. And it has 3.90 gears factory. So I'm sure that helps a lot

I was looking real hard at a 2013 white 5.0 R-spec w/ 30k on it. They are super comfy cars and pretty quick too - mid to low 13s down here!

Yeah I was truly surprised by how comfy they are. I got back into my Cadillac and wasn't impressed. Hands down better seats than in my Cadillac. Hyundai definitely stepped up their game
