Default Low Buck Lsx swap turd gen vs 2014 5.0

I swear one of these days I'll have a video camera going -_-. Anyways played around a little with a guy and pulled over to talk to him and we went and did some runs. He had a bone stock 2014 5.0 with exhuast. Figured my little cammed and home ported heads 5.3l wouldn't do so well. Did 3 rolls from 30 I was starting in first and had him by about a car and half by 100 needless to say I was pretty excited haha.
On another note any members on here from the pnw? Seems like you all are from the sunnier states

Ohh I love the third gem haha have another nice one this ones for going fast. T 56 trans and an 06 block. People with a similar build without ported heads are about 325rwhp so I'm thinking something around there. About 3k pounds zero option model of Camaro with a hopefully a couple hundred stripped out. My biggest issue is tires need some sticky rubber can't do a dig at all and that's my kind of race

fast02z06 sounds good to me hahaha and the best kind of thread obviously. I keep it a secret from my friends haha but I'm running a custom 218/224 with .595 lift and 113 good power all the way through the range. I think I need to add a little timing up top(I do my own tuning) but need some new injectors first

I was gunna do a 3rd gen swap. I was all ready to buy a 1988 formula but the craigslist guy never got back to me when I asked if I could pick it up. I love seeing clean fast 3rd gens, keep up the good work!

Thanks! We have a club up here called NW third gens and theres quite a few ls swaps running around. They really do make a great platform the only issue is the rear end :/. But a 9" is only about 2k...lol. I have a friend with a 91 convertible firebird with a turbo its sick!

Is the 9 bolt pretty strong? They are really hard to find here, but I thought they were only slightly stronger than a 10 bolt. I could be pretty wrong though
