Not me. I did my self an injustice. I went with pypes m80 mufflers. Insanely loud outside the car. Can't hear squat inside the car. Drone is one thing, but I want to hear my car blow its trumpets you know.

For the average person/ race I would say yes. But from a roll is the last place these days a manual has a chance if you can rip some gears. The 6gen manuals are showing about 15-20 rwhp more on average than the a8. This can make up for the faster shifting and slightly better gearing IMO. A guy on YouTube has a channel and him and his friend have 6gens both stock one auto one manual. They have a few roll races on vid and the manual wins every time as speeds increase. The manual is down about a half car at first and ends up a half car ahead by the end.

But for the most part I believe his car is a good run for a stock drag pack a8 6gen from a dig. May give him a very slight edge but very close. I think he would have pulled a stock a8 a bit more at higher speeds if in fact the driving was superb in these vids.

Better watch it man, I do not think an NPP ls3 5th gen with driver mod, e85 and tune would give you anything less than a good race

That is way to cocky LOL. A cam only ls3 5th gen with supporting mods would beat you, no question. IF its done right, no backshop cams and tunes

Not from what I have seen locally. But anything is possible. He came in riding the "being a dick" horse. I described the 6gen like I did in the video because i was throwing respect his way. NPP IS a factory option, and similar to a catback mod on any other car. He DOES have driver mod... I just find it funny that ANYONE in a 5th gen would come into someone's thread and talk junk.... they don't have much ground to stand on.

Well.. its well known that the 5.0 currently has some ground to make up stock vs stock... so it stands to reason a tune is needed at the bare minimum... its no secret. His car I am willing to bet is on the faster side of the spectrum of stock 6gens.. just like my car runs good for what it is too.

I think we would be a good race with me on stock tune based on what we both trap. I trapped 110-111.x on average with stock tune.. so should be a good race.

A solid bolt on 5gen would out run poppa. Not that i don't think poppa car runs good. It would just take more mods for him to keep up the way he likes to run.

Lol....no offense man. You can jyst clearly see the difference from the 1st run to the last. Even in how much the car moves on the shift. I'll give you driver mod on the last run. The last 100/150.......I'm gonna assume rpm here instead of tons is all about doin the driver mod.

It don't matter how fast you shift if your shifting to early.

Well I was shifting @6400-6500. Which is right at redline.
