7875 turbo 5.3 third gen TA vs 2300 blown 5.0 mustang
Hey all. Had the car out to test the new setup against a buddies 2300 blown 5.0. Needless to say I'm pretty happy with how it's running! Mustang went bottom 11's at around 130 mph in the 1/4. I have no dyno numbers or track times on my new setup yet, as it's just street tuned for now.
My car is a stock 5.3, 317 heads, LS6 cam and intake, turbonetics 7875 @ 16 psi, alky control single nozzle meth, and built T56.
First roll was 40 mph and I started at too low of an RPM to spool. Second roll was from 50 mph and it was a MUCH better spot for me.

Thanks guys! Car has pretty amazing top end now compared to my cute little 7668 I was running before. But I won't knock it too much because I had a lot of fun with that torque monster turbo lol. It was great at frying tires, thats for sure.

Honestly I have no clue. I only have a very rough idea by going off the fuel percentage I added to my old tune to make it happy again. The problem is that the meth compensates for some fueling which you don't see in the tune data, so really I won't know for sure until I hit a dyno. But it "should" be making somewhere around 675-700 rwhp based off what I saw in the tune data.

Good luck man! I loved my little TC76, it just ran out of steam at too low of an rpm for my liking. But it lit up super fast and the power came on like a light switch lol. It was def a fun turbo.

They were. But mostly because most of them running around were pieces of ****. Now when you see one cruising around they can be really nice. And tbh they drive really nice for an 80's car. Billion times better than a fox body
