2 valve pushrod motor still getting it done. 5.0 motor is is a great one, good technology, great hp/to per cubic inch. All in all both camps should be stoked that these motors are readily available no matter what brand you like. Sucks to be a dodge guy! J/k

For everyone who complains about the displacement then go buy a big block ford. Then you won't have anymore excuses.

Depends on if the ls7 decides to drop it's valves or not.

It would be IMO as well. Mine with a mid sized cam is putting down close to 700 crank NA. Bigger bump stick, that pulls more revs would be close to 800 crank.

The 4v head flows less. The only advantage it has is valve control. Once you start modding that goes away.

edit: I know that is some ricer bs, btw
Yea i lol'd at that. They said that to make the furd guys feel better. So tell me if you use the same heads.....the same cam where is the extra power coming from?

Another question......the ls3 heads flow more than the coyote heads. So how would it even make the ls3 hp in this test with the same displacement?

I think they were aiming at typical crappy builds. Another more will just get worse for the coyote in the comparison.

I still see no reason that Ford can't offer a larger cubic inch modular engine.

It's called bore spacing and deck height. They did about all they could to get 5.2 out of it. Those engines are already getting working pretty hard and they have to run 100k+ miles. In oe form especially they have to be more than hp/tq makers.

But wouldn't it make a diffrence if they flowed the gmperformance heads on a 3.63 bore?
