Default FBO 96 cobra vs HCI L98 turd gen

FBO cobra vs the Dirty bird. Dirty bird is running out of fuel pump around 5500 so the guy is just shifting it there. Need to finish tuning it. Both cars on street tires

If it was a 2v you would have stomped that Turd Gen and Jake's pile.

Probably not without some form of artificial O2

1. You launch like a ***** and/or your tires suck.

2. It sounds like you short shifted the hell out of it.

3. A H/C/I L98 puts down anywhere from 370-410RWP depending on setup.

No big shock here.

That was the L98 short shifting because it was out of fuel at 5500

Sounds like the cobra was too. Most L98's peak well below 6K, unless it has a much better intake on it.

It has a Ching Chang Chong stealth ram that i ported. It should be good to 7k or more. Cam should pull to 6500.

It's the fuel. After 5000 the AFR goes from 12.5 to 15-16

Need to get that fixed, should run hard. What RPM were you shifting at in the Cobra?

Odd, it might have some issues as well. Right at redline is widely considered to be the best shift point for a B headed car.

I have no idea what it makes. It's not even in tune yet. It's got Jegs heads, cc503 cam, HSR intake and hooker headers

Really like what you did with the dirty bird hammer, fun car. Fix the fuel issue and it'll probably double that gap.
Now only if the cobra was actually FBO, like your 4 gen T/A, this outcome would be very different.

There's only 3 bolt ons you could do to the cobro to make it run with a h/c l98. Thats nos, blower or turbo

As long as the dirty bird stays handicapped as it is in the vid, the cobra will have a chance with more "proper" bolt-ons.
