Default 02' Z28 M6 vs 99' SS A4 vs 16' C7

So I got my torque arm and relocation cross member set up! I was on a test run and wouldn't you know it another camaro and a C7 line up! Awesome! Camaro was FBO had a 230/235 cam, ported 241's, 4000 Stall, and 3.73 gears.

I ran him from 30 since he had a tire and I was on some NT555 (275 section) of questionable condition.

We ran dead even, although I was nailing my shifts and had to powershift, until about 110 or so (4L60E 2-3 or 3-4 shift) and then I started walking away as if he went from full to half throttle. I also spun till about 75-80 or so:/ (new torque arm has me spinning in a straight line though!

Run 2 was from a 20, he requested since he lost lol I didnt care I just knew I would spin my *** off.

He jumps out maybe a car and I spend the whole race clawing back until 120 or so then I blow by him.

He said He stayed in it till 135 or so both times. I let out 145+ idr.

C7 had tune and CIA and was A8 (also had a tire)

I requested a 45-50 roll (knowing I can't hook with these guys on a 10 bolt and street tires.

Hit was even and I lost a bit of ground 2-3 (cant powershift that gear because its a bit weak). Toward the top of 3rd gear I start to make my ground up. As I shift into 4th I am even and loose ever so bit of a hair on my shift, and then start to pull on him by 1/2-3/4 of a car.

Race two was a 30 roll and he put about a 1.5 cars on me as I couldn't get traction. I started to real him in by 100 MPH and by 140 I was right with him. I let out somewhere north of 150 (5th gear 5400 RPM) and I was hardly a nose ahead.

10 bolt was not happy with me lol really gotta fix that!

All in all met some good guys and had fun. Good sportsmanship. Need some slicks so I can dig too haha

Nice job man! A while back I ran a C7 Vette. From the lane over he yelled out that it had exhaust work and tune. Didn't find out any more details than that. On the freeway we did two 50-120 pulls with the same result basically. I had him by maybe a car by the top of 4th. Your car definitely runs good for the mods it has

Thanks man! I would love to throw some tires on there but my 10 bolt already hates life so I gotta wait till I figure out how to tackle that issue.

Thanks, I am trying to finish off these damn valve seals... Change some then another starts to leak, so annoying. Hopefully that helps out. I really want to figure out where to go from here. **** gets expensive after cam and bolt ons.

Good kill man. Stock C7's are 12.0 cars all day. Gotta figure out what I can actually do in a 1/4.

Nice runs, your car runs good forsure. The other weekend I was going to make you a vid for the pinion angle, but my turbo oil seal started leaking and I spent the day making sure it was that. Then pushed my car outside

4.30 gears on a 28" tire thru a T56 is a hell of a drug. When you do a rear end that's what I would do.

My question is, should that auto car have gotten me? He was thinking he should because he said that auto is better for a straight line. If that's so then I shouldn't have shot past him if our cams were similar and he was running ported heads.

No, not with your gearing being close to fully optimal in the quarter. He has the ability to be more consistent. If you have enough time and money in suspension you can make your six speed pretty consistent too. I am talking bracket racing consistent. Auto's will always have a advantage there. No way in hell some of these sloppy *** shifting 4l60's I see sometimes shift better than my arm. When they are built or have a TH400 or power glide maybe. My bro's 4L60 4th gen with less than 20k mile with a shift kit 4l60 does a pretty good job.

C7 is getting full exhaust soon and wants to re run. I'm doing an ATI balancer. He should get me after this round of mods huh?

Never ran a C7 yet in anything. I wouldn't think exhaust would gain a whole lot on a light bolt on newer car of that caliber. Especially something that expensive. Exhaust on my Scat Pack adds zero power. Unless you pull the cats like I did or put long tubes on. Even then the long tubes aren't worth a whole lot. The headers are the same shorties that are on the Hellcats stock.
