No sir I'm just not a damn gm nut hugger and I have owned a modded 5g, and currently own a new 6g thats getting modded. I have raced (street) all variants of br0's and 5gs/1le's. A modded 1le is impressive but a 5g is not. Sorry bro I'm not a brand *** kisser as you apparently are, I just call the facts the facts.

One more time.... A 1LE is just a better handling 5G... There is no real advantage acceleration wise. Anything a 1LE can do acceleration wise, a standard 5G can do just as good (if not better).

I think fast02 is just noticing 1LEs tend to run harder than base SS in person. I still laugh about my stock power stock tune runs. Local guy just got a 1LE and launched it at like 3600rpms in the 1/8th. He ran like a 9.3. Idiot.

I simply asked what makes a 1LE more capable than a non-1LE acceleration wise. Call the facts or continue with your clueless banter about brand loyalty.

Like many have said on here before, even with the 3.91s on the 1Le, it's transmission gearing makes it like the stock 3.45 gears on the base model SS cars.
3.91 gear on the SS cars would probably be legit due to weight. Same reason I would go 3.55 over 3.15 on an s550 if I planned to keep it NA/spray

Not to mention how the 1le has to deal with creating a little more drag/resistance with the front spliter and the bigger/wider rims/tires.
Anything a 1LE can do in a straight line, a base SS can do just as good, if not better.

It doesn't help matters for perception on here that two guys who actually know how to mod and how to race own 1LEs and manage to get some races won with them.
Your average joe with a 5G tends to underperform

What all you having done? Cam and headers CAI?
You're wrong about the 1le buddy. They perform about the same. Must be the owners.

Hoping they hold up well. I'll likely pick up a 2017 50th anniversary at some point. Nostalgia of the 50th anniversary really gets me

If this is so true then why do 95% of non 1le or non geared 5g's lose and suck? Mkst of the races vs br0's the 5g is behind. NOT EVERY SINGLE RACE, but most. I disagree with this 100% and stand by what I say and witnessed.
