Car and Drivers long term SS picked up .2 and 2 mph at something like 10 or 15 k miles when they re tested on the same test track as compared to stock.
Catch cans are supposed to help keep the valves clean. Ill add one of those too. They can be cleaned as well with certain procedures (walnutting or something lol forget the name)
I don't think the two drag pack and tune 5.0s at Milan that I was paddling last night by a half second plus and 3.5 mph plus all night would feel any better if you told them that.
In fact...they wouldn't even look my way. The only cool guy there was in a challenger. Big shocker. he was smoking them too. Was a great night of beating up 5.0s. Reminded me of the ls1 days. Almost brought a tear to my eye

Fact is tuning was stock other than rev limit change and cats turned off. Get over douchebag.
Seems the furd guys harp on it quite a bit. I guess after 70+ termis that blew up and years upon years of glass rods they are a little sensitive.

Lt1 vettes has been 11.3 i think is the record. Writing was on the wall for the 6gen to get closer to that.

I'm looking for at least low 11.70s before Milan closes. DA should drop another 500 or so for me.
He also removed back and pass seat and is running a light battery. I think not positive. That was his plan last time I knew. But it is a loaded 2ss in the first place.

Plenty of good weather days too when the 2016s first came out. Lots of negative DA days. Glad to see guys out having fun and racing them
For whatever reason it seems a lot of 2SS cars run pretty hard from what I've seen locally. Some harder than their 1SS counterparts.

If you don't add sunroof the difference is only 30-40 lbs

Not really.....it takes a while sometimes for the cars to get in the hands of guys with some experience to make them go. That combined with some break in and they will go faster.

An s550 auto hit a record time too. Last time I knew he was stock with a tire. It went 12.23. A nice .6 backhand from a 6g the same night

FYI I had him tied when we were at similar DA

That 8spd is awesome for sure. I kind of want to see what the coyote does with it at the same power level. I know it really woke up the ram trucks in a big way.
I guess I'll have to settle for seeing that awesome 10spd in there instead.

Just the ten speed will not close the gap. IMO they need 30 hp and the ten speed to run even. On stock cars with stock converters the torque of the lt1 is proving to be quite the asset in the 1/4.
It needs a small hp advantage and the ten speed to tie or surpass. They are a touch heavier too. A 15 hp bump and the ten would be really great. But I still see that getting edged by the 6g.
