Either way I agree with all of this. Usually it takes a 5G more mods (and in this case internal mods) to take on a Br0 bolt on for bolt on.

You honestly think a lid and catback car is good for 12.2@114?

Track numbers dont mean much to me, to be honest. Track is track and the street is the street. 2 different beasts.

So far, out in real world conditions (street), my car has shown how the camaro ss and 5.0 stang are very competitive when similarly modded.
Remember when pappadickinmyass said that no 5gen without FBO and a CAM could hang with him?

Like I said, your car tends to run well for its mods. You also seem to have a good time finding poor drivers.

It had free mods too. And I was talking about your 8.2 @ 87 mph slip. Or was that part of your bolt on slip?

I sure do... ate crow on that one... lol

What I got the most enjoyment out of, was when he stated that a rockers swap was worth just as much gain as cam swap!!!... Aaaahahahahaha!

That was stock power stock tune

For reference, a catback, CAI, and tune Ceta a4 ran 13.4@104 the same day I ran 12.2@114

Nothing really special about my car, at all. Just a very very basic set up.

Im a shitty driver myself... so I guess that theory cancels out... lol

Same deal with bambinos... same thing with phils... and many others, that dont frequent forums...

5th gen ss and 5.0 gts are competitive.

Mystic Z would have pounded that CETA very hard. From a roll it put about 6 cars on another a4 camaro that ran 13.4 @ 106. From a dig I put 4 cars on him from 0 to 80. I also walked a stock 03 Cobra by 2 cars, from a roll. From a dig it would have been a lot worse.

That's kind of like how Marc thinks that higher ratio rockers and stiffer valve springs are "head work".

Mystic just defied physics. You shouldn't have sold it

It does modify the dynamics of the stock cam.

Modified cylinder heads are highly regarded

Anything to rationalize how Poppas automagic 5.0 gt (currently on the 5.0 fastlist), lost a race to a 6speed 5th gen trash can.

Poppa's tune was pretty far off from what he showed me so the fact that he went 2-1-1 against a car with more power mods is pretty impressive to me.

Nope, it was just a top notch running LBO LS1 in a light f body. With DRs it made a lot of people scratch heads. There was someone else on here awhile back who had pretty much the same car with the same little mods. And he said it ran a 12.6 @ 112 on street tires.
