Mine trapped 105 on a 92 degree day. It ran better then most LT1's.

That's why most fast lists just categorize cars as external mods or internal mods.

That's really good. I'm helping 2 friends who have LT1's right now. They're fun, not bad engines at all just severely overshadowed by the LS1

Not even a little bit. Definitely 2, maybe up to 4 in here that will gap you all.

Yes not to shabby...thks was back in the summer of 2000. I was out trapping 2 LT1 vettes and trapping right with 3 LS1 SS cars that day. In cool air it was a 108 car all day. The LT1 cars varied quite a bit in performance just like W bodies...some ran hard, others not so much.

Back then we went through tanks of fuel out street racing. No LT1's would race me, so I started picking on LS1's and one guy called me KingLT1. That is where the screen name came from. I use to love beating LS cars.

Was that stock? That's really high for an LT1, that's closing in on LT4 territory. I've had some that ran like ****, and others that were really strong.

The LT1 could have been a great motor if they would have corrected a few flaws. The biggest thing that I hate on any LT motor is the mix of english and metric bolts. Nothing pisses me off worse than having to switch out between a 3/8ths and 10mm, depending on which part of the motor you're working on.

The Impala SS has show me that a lot of the flaws were with the 4th gen camaro, and not the LT1 itself.

Tell me about it. Doing a head gasket on a 94 z28 right now, I had hell just getting the stock ones off. GM pipes have this weird thing where the flange warps just a little bit and the ****** won't come off the manifold studs...

lol gets mad easy.

SW says a couple mustangs would gap everyone in the thread. Navyblue guy gets mad, says SW has no clue what his car runs. Then he tells SW that he couldn't gap his car without knowing what SW runs. You can't make that **** up. lololol

I could see why. Seems like they already came to the same conclusion and for good reason.
