It ran 16.1 @ 86.9 mph in summer heat stock. Ex-cab sb 4x4 2500hd. I bet a 5.4 in a similar truck would run a 17.5

320 is not unusual fo any fuel injected engine. What makes the mod motor trash is when they do break, it's never simple. And they are a pain in the *** to work on.

I am still of the opinion that 99% of what you type is retardation ungoverned, but I will say you are on to something with this. Trucks are mostly what I have tuned and there are some early and late GM trucks that are SUPER turds until you at least turn off torque management and Power enrichment delay.

I also have a much heavier truck being 2500hd and 4x4 and not a 2wd 1/2 ton.

As usual you were trying to hide a advantage . But you will still get out run.

I have no idea if i have the slip. It was a nearly new truck when i ran it 12- 14 yrs ago

How do you stip running stock trucks??.....well unless you don't want to run comparable trucks. If he wants a accurate 5.4 comparison then it should be in a comparable truck.......not one that runs 1k lb lighter.


But there is another option. We could compare my uncles 5.3 1/2 ton 4x4 truck to his 5.4 2wd truck

So since it's stip central what does his 2000 5.3 run? They made a little more power and a lot less TQ. Probably why they feel like turds compared to the 5.4..

5.4 is about the slowest damn truck I ever drove. But its been a good truck. It probably would have been a good run with my Nissan hardbody 5spd. All 120hp of that Z24 engine!

I think the trucks should be in comparable configuration if you truly want to see if your 5.4 is better.

My uncles 5.3 4x4 ran 15.7 @87.6

His and my truck were both stock and both are 2003. A 5.3 h.o. truck would be quicker than both and could be had with 4.10 gears.

My 2004 4 door Silverado Z71 is still 100% bone stock with 170k on the clock. If I am at the track with it, I make a pass with and without the management and report back....first I'll have to fix that annoying *** rear seal leak. GM sure dicked that one up.

I asked for slips and u don't have. Your Uncle was probably never stock. Hard to believe anything you say honestly. The early 2000s 5.3 is a good run for a 5.4 no doubt about it. The 4.6 will give it hell as well.
