Yes. Index racing is where it's at when they have them so the ideal bracket car can also run 5.80 index races. That is the most common index around the gulf coast. There are some 6.60 and some 7.0 indexes but not as many. Bracket racing is just one of the main things that keeps our tracks open.

I just feel bad for people who live in areas where heads up racing isn't prevalent. I ******* hate bracket and index.
Lots of folks don't like bracket/index racing but is basically what you are doing anyhow. The only real heads up racing is top fuel. Class racing is close but there are so many cheaters even in sactioned realms like stock eliminator, it's compromised to fake bullshit. For some cheating and not getting caught is what makes it fun. I think just makes you a liar.

At the track onrace day, I have only had a few events that we're heads up, .4 pro tree.
The other 3000 runs have been bracket. (Exaggerating the 3000....a lot of runs)
Around here we a ton of run what you brung on a 26 or 28. Not a lot of class racing.
Houston has plenty of that. I just don't often come across what I woud call an exciting match up. Most of my friends street race the **** out of cars and I go and sometimes run as well and do a large portion of the work on there cars. I just don't hang my hat on it. I enjoy anything motor sports.
