Default LT1 supra vs SRT4

Bone stock 94 iron head LT1 with 200k miles and a T5 vs lightly modded SRT4.

Nice running Supra, OP. Gotta love the power to weight ratio with that set up. Any plans on power-adders in the future? I would imagine you should be able to throw a good amount at it before it pops.

Poor choice? Maybe..... But at the end of the day the motor cost me next to nothing and EVERYTHING was done by me in my garage. Free motor, free wiring, $200 trans and I now I have a cheap car to beat the crap out of. LS motors are great but I'm happy with this old LT1, so hate all you want.

I have a set of aluminum heads and cam about to go in the next couple weeks. Later down the road, I'll build a another motor to throw a turbo setup on it. Car is an original turbo car and I'd like to keep it that way. lol

Is this motor the 5.7L version, or the 4.3L one that was common in the Roadmaster & other B body cars?

Still a cool ride. What made ya swap out the original 7M-GTE?

I think the swap is hilariously good. NO ONE is suspecting to see an LT1 under the hood of that car.

My dad had a 94 Fleetwood sitting in the yard, and gave me the drivetrain. So..... This happened...

I bought the supra as a bare shell. The old 7mgte is currently used a 6 pot flower pot in my yard. I actually was building a pretty stout 2j for it, but was getting pretty tired of seeing the car just sit in the garage as I spent more and more on the 2j. Sold the 2j and went this route for some cheap thrills.

Thanks. I'll do another run with that same neon after my cam and head install just to compare. Lol. I work with the guy, he's a good sport about it.

Do some 1.6 rockers with springs next. I wonder if an LS lid set up would work on that car

**** for the price 2JZ's go for, I'd gone with a complete 5.3 aluminum LS and had extra cash leftover. Close friend of mine has a 700whp MK4 bought a spare 2jz-gte w/ the 6-spd trans just because he got a "good" deal on it. About choked the money he had to spend to get it.

Already planned. I have a set of 1.6 rockers and a cc306. Just waiting on the springs which I plan on using the 918's. The heads will be lightly ported. Probably too much cam for the stock bottom end but should be fun.
