Default Whipple/426ci Hellcat vs Cobro

Couple guys in my group went out for a run last night. First run is a 45 and the second is a 60. Hellcat supposedly spun on the 45 and the 60 he started low in the RPM to keep from spinning.

Hellcat: 426ci, Whipple 4.5 at 28psi, built 6060, E90, 1200whp

Cobra: Built motor, heads/cams, Vortech V2 at 10psi, T56 Mag, E85

45 roll:

60:

Good pulls!

Cobro shouldn't even have been that close.

Good runs and some fast cars!
Just wondering though why the Cobro with a built motor is only running at 10psi?

That Cobra must be making crazy power to run with a 1200 rwhp Hellcat

Hellcat is disappointing for that much power and work.

All those mods and still only runs like an LBO Hellcat lmao.

Good runs though. I like the setup the HC has but disappointing for sure.

I'll be the first to say it, THAT Hellcat is an absolute turd. Not taking anything away from the Cobra but that shouldn't have been even remotely close. Just like when the Shelby from the last video absolutely destroyed it with hundreds less whp.

The Cobra isn't as much as a slouch as y'all are thinking it likely is lol it's just a good indicator of the right setup and driver. It's been on here before when it had bolt ons yanking a cammed LS and nobody wanted to believe that either.

Hellcat has went 143 in the 1/4 spinning on the old tune. I'm sure we will see some more track stuff from it soon. The chute is for half mile events.

That Shelby makes 1000 off bottle and he was spraying that race. That car runs HARD. Built L&M motor, ported heads, cams, ported stock blower, etc... It's well built and shows it.

Hellcat just needs to be lined out some more. Tuning on them with the Whipple's has proven to be a bitch.

Why would anyone build a FatCat like that? Why spend the extra 25-35K?? Start with an SRT and do everything the same. Just don't make sense at all??? Cost same to build the motor, Supercharger cost same. Only diff is the emblem on the fenders.

Why would I lie? Do you want me to record the boost gauge the next time I'm in the car?
