Default LT1 Camaro vs Supercharged Nissan 350Z

Here is a run between my buddies LT1 Camaro and a Vortech supercharged Nissan 350Z. Races were from a 20 roll, LT1 car is cammed with ported heads and intake, and 4.10 gears.

I see. Some of those HCI LT1's can move out really well with the right top end. Any track or dyno numbers on the Camaro?

Good runs! LT1 ran good and hit pretty hard from the go. Seems like that when he ran out of gear was when the 350Z caught him. That is the only downfall to steep gears though. You run out of mph quickly..

Yeah I'm done at 125 mph in 4th at about 6500-6700 rpm. I kind of like it though, as I'm not so tempted to race up to ludicrous speeds lol

Exactly.. With my 4.10s I would also run out of mph around 125. After the cam install though, it continue to make power at a higher rpm so I run out 4th to ~6800/6900rpms which gets me to about 133mph.

How so like those cams on that Mach? It made 388 rwhp on stock heads and intake? I had VT stage 1 cams on my 04 Gt, and it gained only 15 hp lol. Same dyno both before and after

These Comp cams are nice. The rev pretty fast and continue to make power. They are the Comps 4V Stage 3 cams 106300 so they require new springs and a gear nothing less than a 4.10. I got a timing chain kit and replaced pretty much everything up front also adding in the Ford Racing oil pump gear. I actually think a 4.33 gear would be better for these cams though but so far I am staying with these 4.10s. With these cams though, the car is still easy to drive around town even with the aluminum flywheel and clutch.
It was not a bad investment imo.
Yes...stock heads but there is an intake spacer installed. Also had to upgrade the fuel injectors and MAF meter after cam install...and retune

They're fun little cars in the corners though. Straight line is on par with a 2V gt or a stock LT1 Fbody.

With boost though it pulls good top end. He said he has a 500 horsepower tune he wants to try me on.
