Yep the difference back in the day between the 2 valve and LS1 was rediculous. Hell even the old 4 valve didnt stand a chance. Off spray I was a good race with a stock LS1 lol. On spray I beat a 415 rwhp cammed WS6, but lost to a 450 rwhp heads and cam LS1. He actually didn't pull me that bad though, I was surprised. Those 2 valves really needed a gear with a good tune and some spray to be in n/a LS territory

Video didn't look like much of a race, or even a race at all.
Looks like the 2V grabbed the hit, and went.

Boooo! I want my money back

Yeah a friend of mine had an 01 GT M5 back in the 2000s, it had gears, intake and exhaust. He'd get SO pissed every time an LS1 Camaro would beat him lol. They were all A4's too that were bone stock or close to it. He would get them off the line by a couple lengths but the LS1 would walk by pretty hard at about 70-80 mph (whatever speed the 2v hit 3rd gear) every time. And from a roll it was just absolute rape, by bus lengths.

good old ls1 glory days lol

my friend had a 1990 gt 5 speed with quite a few bolt ons, drag lites all around, gears and a 75 shot. It was a pretty good race for my 98 when I first got it and we were both shocked. Him more than me lol. I would win just about every time on a clean run. My 98 6 speed z28 only had lid and catback when I first bought it in 2004

im not even joking when I say that I converted him to Chevy back then because of my 98 camaro lol

I remember seeing the older 4 valves struggle to beat the PI 2 valves. I remember at Cecil seeing the 07 GT500s not run 12s stock and not get out of the 12s with the stock blower with even shop cars. The weight just killed them. Trinity on the other hand....

ok idiot....here's how you know that cammed ls1 is no where near where it should be. It's pretty easy to get a bolt on ls1 in the 11s with record cars running well into the 10s.....a bolt on 2v hasn't ran 11s......cant run 11s. Just like you with bolt ons(gt100 or mach) or when you were a cammed 3v. They struggle to run 11s h/c and built.

so posting dumb shitty races like that only proves the dude don't know wtf he's doin with the ls1.

You have a bad habit of looking at the serious racers and thinking everyone should be at that same level with their weekend warrior build. Look at the 11 second club and see how many people needed a cam to reach the 11's.

Smh lol.. when a cammed ls1 with other goodies loses to a 2v then ‘a dude doesnt know what hes doing to an ls1’. Boy these 2v motors makes all these ls1 drivers cry. Just like Joke aka red fairy 9 sec dream car.

I can't help how many people think they needed a cam to reach 11s. And no it don't have to be a serious drag car for a bolt on ls1 to run 11s. I mean we did it on nathans car w/o headers....3.73 gears and a stock tune(sans air pump/egr turned off). Mm did it on stock wheels and virtually no wr and not the greatest combo. Sxc did to with a very mild car...lots left in it if he wants to chase it. None of those cars are serious racers. All had plenty left in their combo to get serious with.

i typically race 2vs in my 2500hd 6.0. Atleast they have a chance then.

The bolt on cars that I can find that are in the 11's take headers, gears, intake, tune, stall, suspension mods, weight reduction, and perfect conditions.

I just gave you 2 solid examples. Hammer went 11.5 with a bad lifter in shitty air too.

Nathans car had stock suspension with front bar removed. You can tune yourself right into slowing down on these cars thinking you need erry suspension part in the world to get to 11s.

Bolt ons 11s. Stock wheels and front bar on. Went a best of 11.7 114 that way. With EWP,bigger headers,Hio old catback Fast, bigger stall probably would have went 11.4s with a good tune.

You are one delusional little man. Hard to get into the 11s but easy to go 9s. I will take that any day. Sorry low 11s is not that fast in 2018 Doug. Time for FI.
