120 is above average stock trap. And comparing that to an initial mag time isn’t too fair

im sure some will hit mid 120s

this was also a fully loaded 3lt with z51 package at over 3600 lbs. a base car on a drag pack is going to fly. Mid to high 120s and probably mid tens in good air

although launching as well as it does on stock tires drag setups might not produce as much gain as expected either

either way I think GM killed it. And I’m hearing reports that the interior is super nice quality. One review liked it over the Porsche in the comparison

crazy fir all that starting at 60k

No mag has ever hit 120 stock with a bro. A bro would get demolished by one of these in a straighline contest. I think people will get 125 with these and probably more up north. Be interesting what the Z06 will pack

The one I saw I didnt care for that goofy thing with the switches on the console. Beautiful car though. And the price is awesome. First year GM cars though are risky. Wait a few years and buy a 2021 used...

I watched a stock 6gen run 12.2s all night last week in around zero da and he was blowing launches all night. 2.0 60fts. He could have run 11s stock. Trap was 115-116.

the new GT does seem to trap higher no doubt but the ET between them is neck and neck. 6g 60 fts a good tenth harder both hooking

too bad the stock trans tuning on the new a10 Camaro looks to be ****. It’s nothing compared to the bro’s who have them barking the tires on shifts with stock tune. The a10 Camaro got a neutered trans tune. It’s no faster than the a8. Might eve be slower imo

You did care if you retorted the Vette MPH was weak based on a mag test. Comparing a mag test to a car you saw in person is not comparable. A bro will not touch one of these. Period.

Not sure why anyone is comparing a 5L Mustang or 6L Camaro to a C8? Even at $60k It’s nearly double the price (base vs base).

Loaded mustangs and Camaros aren’t too far off that price but yeah. It’s still very affordable so that’s why

i know if I was buying new right now I’d be very tempted

ive also heard the lt2 bottom is fully forged. So that’s gonna be exciting when boost comes

wonder if they gonna put the lt2 in the Camaro for 2021? It would be a guarantee typically but with the car possibly going out of production it’s hard to say

Base vs base

Otherwise is $45k vs $105k?

My 18 was 31k

They’re not comparable cars (other than trap)

Isn't Camaro unsure after 2021/23?

yeah it might go out in 2023. Where are you getting 105k? A nicely optioned z51 should still be in the 70s I’d think. But even a more base car in the 60s should still be really nice. Much nicer than a loaded Camaro or mustang

i got my 16 for 30,600 new. GM was doing 20% and they also took another 1400 off. Sticker was just over 40k. I’m in the mid tens with less than 40k total investment

I paid less for my 16 than I did for my 2010 lmao

Look into loaded C8

I read $105k was optioned out

Ill see if I can find it -

*** Looks like $80k is sticker optioned out and I didn’t search too much (since I’d want a base myself)

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.roa...ption-pricing/

I’ll check my work computer tomorrow though it may or may not have accounted for dealer markup up?

I'm sure it was stock......just like all the other ones that did suck amazing **** and we later found out they weren't so stock.

The a10 is a power adder tho.

123 is better but it seems like 125 is realistic IMHO
It's the quickness of getting to that 123.

Even if that fictitious 5br0 exists that oneslow brought up by the time 12sec mark rolls up the vette gonna be at 130.

Hio, I’m not comparing a Camaro or Mustang to a mid engine new platform C8

** Though trap speeds could be close (only relevant relation)

Camaro unsure past 2023 - same as Mustang. Neither have a 7th gen on the horizon...

Pretty basic rebuild of the ls6. It ran fine when i took it apart but it showed some pretty good wear on the cam bearings. So with 90k hard miles on i decided to rebuild it instead of taking a chance of it failing. After all it wasn't gonna get run any less hard.

Itwill be using the stock crank, stock gen4 floating rods and mahle forged pistons with 4cc valve reliefs for the bottom end. Those pistons were just a off the shelf piece that were light and had a nice ring pack.

The heads are old gmpp ls6 cnc that i cleaned up the cnc marks in on the intake side and opened up the exhaust side a bit. I had them milled .035 more for a total of .090. It should be around 12:1 compression. They will be running stock ls6 valves with psi 1516 springs ans i figured i would try some speedmaster rockers. They're a shaft mount . The cam came from darthv8r. It's the one he used in his 540whp h/c ls1 and it's a llsr. It's a 237/245 .654 .637 112.5 +2.

The intake is a msd that mamo originally ported and i retouched and fed by a duggy box. It came from 98m6 ws6. It's the one from his unfortunate fire that i fixed. Probably end up with a 105mm tb on it. 1 7/8 kooks and speed engineering tdx will finish it off and was previously used.
