4.8 easily. Hell it seems like it's hard enough for a 30p00 to keep up with a 305. The vid below is a more comparable 30p00.

running as it should for someone not doing dumb **** trying to get hits. That's impressive af on a normal street. Definitely setting a new standard.

This is what happens when gm doesn't run some retarded heavy big clutch and long *** gears.

I think getting a all motor 4.8 in a f body to run 11's would be tough, not saying a 302 would do any better, just think they might be close. I could be wrong, I don't know much about the 302's.

bolt on 5.3s has been 11s with less than ideal bolt ons. I want to say a 4.8 may have done that to. But i don't remember for sure.

The 4.8 doesn't make significantly less power than the 5.3. I would assume with the right setup in the right fbody, it wouldnt be that hard.

I haven't been around normal 302 mustangs in LOONNNGGG time. But I seem to recall some I/H/C 302's in foxs making over 400whp back in the day. I may be wrong though.

Had a break in the weather, so I found a quiet spot in Mexico to test White Whale © on a 40 roll. Seems that I need a bit more than a 50F dusty road to get a clean pull. But I got some decent data to go forwards with.

I would image either could. The 30p00 may not like it for long sbe. Getting the compression up to get there would be the issue sbe for both.

Yup....same bore just shorter stroke. The 4.8 likes rpm.

probably 400 crank. Most end up around 300whp with good builds being 350whp~. They still kinda gutless there tho pulling out the back.

they did like the bottle, when I had my h\c ls1 fox, and my buddy had a h\c 150 shot 302, we ran the same 6.8, but I trapped 102, to his 98-99.
